It's always been like that, life is suffering. just look at how nature is, animals dying horrible deaths, plants suffocating, burning or getting eaten, fish hunted or smothered by algae, bacteria capable of sickening plants, fungi or animals a trillion times larger that they are, and yet besieged by bacteriophages... Life is the eternal struggle to live at the expense of others, is has been nothing more and nothing less for billions of years. Yet we've only become to realize such in the last few thousand years or so: aware of how cruel life can be, compounded by malevolence of our peers. Still, we dream, we hope.

@Rick Lane he has depression and he cured it with diet and analysing it, but it's genetic so he has to stay strong and vigilant all the time. He is a human he gave in once because of his injury i think, so what, we are all humans we all make mistakes. It doesn't make his lessons untrue
@ytadd94144 жыл бұрын
@Rick Lane 1. Curing hereditary depression doesn't mean it goes away and you can live your life however you want to, change of diet or a major life event can trigger it. Some people's depression needs active life long work to keep it at bay. 2. The drug prescribed for his injury, if it's an opiate, has a tendency to make addicts out of people because that's what opiates do. And most of the time for injuries opiates or similar drugs are prescribed. 3. People already having depression or a mental disorder can find it difficult to wean themselves off the drug. So think how dangerous the drug might be if a person like jbp got addicted. 4. It's not necessary that only people with depression get addicted to drugs, even people with no mental disorders history can get addicted. So cut him some slack and look at him as a human being who is trying his best to keep the depression at bay. He gave in once and paid the price for it.

In fact, I agree with Peterson on many points, such as his opposition to compelled language and his concerns about some aspects of leftist ideology. My issue is around consistency and hypocrisy. Here's a man who stood on a soapbox to tell people how to live their lives with responsibility and be strong and resilient, and it ultimately transpired that he didn't have a whole lot of resilience himself (nor the foresight and discipline one would expect from a behavioural scientist as concerns substance addiction). The phrase"do not be afraid" is written in the bible 365 times in the Bible That's a daily reminder from God to live every day being fearless. I hope this will help too: “When anxiety was great within me, your consolation brought joy to my soul.” Psalm 94:19 "Casting all your anxieties on him, because he cares for you." 1 Peter 5:7 “Therefore do not worry about tomorrow, for tomorrow will worry about itself. Each day has enough trouble of its own.” Matthew 6:34 Ask God for help.. "Do not be anxious about anything, but in everything by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving let your requests be made known to God." Philippians 4:6 “Therefore do not worry about tomorrow, for tomorrow will worry about itself. Each day has enough trouble of its own.” Matthew 6:34 "Say to those who have an anxious heart, 'Be strong; fear not! Behold, your God will come with vengeance, with the recompense of God. He will come and save you.' " Isaiah 35:4 "And which of you by being anxious can add a single hour to his span of life?" Matthew 6:27 "Come to me, all who labor and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest. Take my yoke upon you, and learn from me, for I am gentle and lowly in heart, and you will find rest for your souls. For my yoke is easy, and my burden is light." Matthew 11:28-30

There is an absolute difference between a fearful sort of nervous, guilty conscience, daring of being.. VS a planned, sure of yourself, honest, responsible, moral step forward in terms off peace of mind. The light hearted mind in play is a definite goal to work at along with an intentional excited anxiety or energy. I worked at relaxing from fearful predatory mental states and into what I called a "host anxiety" where I was like in an acting mode, trying to be loud, boisterous, excited, selling my ideas, boldly narrating my stories or jokes as I played my character in life.. and I found the beautiful fool's positive anxiety of being.. as opposed to a negative dagger of the mind, tax on being, more stressful anxiety.

Alone in your own space blocks all negative thought and clear up the mind to what your feeling. Whats real and not? Peace of mind. I think most of time its people around you that know you how to trigger that emotion. You will see it when they start to smirk as they notice your face going into a traumatic state. Just leave asap as soon as you see that evil smirk. you will get worse if you stay they wont stop until they see your face lost. Then you get more anxiety cause you feel alone and didnt get closure cause you are afraid of being judge and laugh at. wondering if its in your head. Its only real at the begging and evetually go further and start to feel helpless and your their by yourself wondering am i right or wrong? I think you are right when you see the smirk as they know your getting hurt or make a stupid excuse to how your feeling. People who dont know you have anxiety will take a step back or pull their head back like what is this guy talking about and thats when you know its your anxiety kiking in and its all in your head just keep quite and just listen and dont answer anything you will just embarrasse yourself. but its someone or something that is triggering it.

Your videos are pleasant to watch and brings context to the talk. One of your videos had subtitles in the middle of the screen. I felt the subtitles made it more impactful and the video made me feel good as I seemed to absorb more of the information when I was hearing and reading it. Having the subtitles in the middle of the screen i think helped absorbing the information. Had it been at the bottom, i would have been focused on the subtitles and only watching the rest of the video peripherally.

I did have anxiety,drug abuse,alcohol, sex, whatever I could fill the hole with. Nearly died at 39. Through pain and suffering I became strong, capable, whole. I'm okay with my faults,anxiety, fear. But I run through it now and become stronger. As men we suffer but push forward for my 4kids and wife. They sustain me. I will never be perfect and content, but with purpose I thrive now and doubled income in two years. I'm a high school drop out and now make nearly 6figures. We are all worthy and capable of so much more. I know I am....I hope you all find the courage and keep fighting. It does get better.❤

First you will have to believe in yourself when no one else does, then you can conquer the fear of failure. This was how I overcame being poor few years back, when I invested my life savings worth 3000 USD with an expertise, Alessia Wood, with her managing my portfolio, my $3000 Investment have yielded $17,000. If I didn't believe in myself that I can be more, I wouldnt have taken the first bold step to invest my savings . Don't give up even when it seems things ain't working out, step out of your comfort zone and become more. We are all destined to achieve great things.

Well well, Jordan does what he does to perfection. He shores up the dam, he tunes the engine, he rewrites the song. He brings light into the dark room of the human soul. I was a drug addict from age 12, and began to move on with a care free mind at 29. It took me about 20 years to put it all together, but it’s done. The drugs went first, then I had to adjust my thinking and my actions. In adopting a honest lifestyle, I had to take life as it came, all of it. Very seldom do I doubt my reasons though I am self critical in a strictly analytical way to find positive solutions. Never do I allow myself to denigrate myself. Life is good, even though it will eventually destroy my existence in this world. Oh, this man is completely correct.

@@barra6709 the best advice i got was the phrase. This to shsll pass. Meaning when u have anxiety attacks they usually last 90seconds . Then it passes for me i can deel it coming on i stop sit and breath deep and slowly try to relax my shoulders stomach. Deep breathing slows our heart rate the monks do this in tibet they can slow there hearts to incredible amounts so we know how they did it. Thats why deep breathing relaxes u obviously we can not be as good as monk's but a little really takes the edge off. I resisted this for 30 years because i just thought it was bull. Then i was fed up and tried it because i thought nothing would help i was convinced i had a medical thing that was being missed so deep breathing seemed stupid when im going crazy was not going to help boy was i wrong. But better late than never . U can ask me more questions i know the hell u r dealing with and i know how to get rid of this if . U can text me friend request me ill hrlp u

Why do we feel fear? Why? It’s a survival mechanism. I’ve been living in fear for almost 7 years now and it was very hard at times, but now I’m just ploughing forward every day and doing what I want to do. I’m not going to listen to my fear, not going to give into it and if I’m afraid of dying, as I am, I’m going to die trying to live as I like.

Yes! Make each day the most of what I can be and fear will not win. If we do not dwell in the future, we will not fear it regardless of how much time we have.

Hi Mr.Peterson, My life changed when I gave my life to Christ. I knew I was of value to God because he died for me, and I felt His love come into my life.
