I'm native a english speaker. Just realise today that I say have in two ways. Haf, and have. If I say, I have to have something, i will pronounce the first have with an f ending. It's obviously wrong, but in the sentense "I have to do to it." if I pronounce it with a v, it sounds weird. Just blew my mind lol I've never thought about it before

It needs to be emphasised that past perfect is not used alone in a single sentence to convey a msg ..Right ? It always preceeds a past action. Past perfect is past of Past in simple terms. Pp is followed by simple past.Right? I had eaten an orange I had had an orange..it is not gramatically correct though it conveys the msg. It ought to be as under: I had had an organge before I ate my dinner. You have tried to clarify it. Best wishes. Happy Diwali.

Past perfect is normally used in storytelling, which means it is followed by pther sentences to convey the meaning. By the term " p.p.", I mean past particle form of verb. For example" eaten "

'Lend' means to give something to someone to be used for a period of time and then returned. 'Borrow' means to take and use something that belongs to someone else for a period of time and then return it.

Ma'am what's P. P Verb? Anyone please reply me with my doubt @EnglishwithteacherMina
@EnglishwithteacherMina
@EnglishwithteacherMina 9 ай бұрын
It's past particle form of the verb, also known as third form of the verb. Like: eat, ate, eaten. "eaten" is the third form or p.p verb. Is that clear?
