@lenadro80464 жыл бұрын
If you let your bike breathe more, like removing the baffle or changing headers, you should touch the electronics of the bike, or a power commader, if not, you can harm the engine at long term.

i always do customization and i love to, cause i always have the thought that this bike will last for at least my whole life.. on my last one (yamaha TDM900 from 2003) was surprisingly amazing and i loved it, so i started with the obvious little touches like new mirrors and blinkers, adding a higher windshield (great when riding in bad weather or winter like i do always), heatgrips, and even changed the colour from lame silver to diamondsparkling-Blue via painting, wich looked amazing! and i added a crashcage to the motor wich is used to mount adding LED Lights down low. speaking of lights, i changed them all to LED and fitted a few coloured LED strips into various places just for the fun :) and i had so much more in mind to do planned so much more, cause when you spend at least over 1 Hour EVERY single day on it all year long (cause there is no alternative for me) you care a lot for it. not just the looks and performance, but comfort and practicallity for everyday uses and even for long vacation trips, like almost 1000km in a day and other long range trips. i would have changed the suspension, and looked out for a greater luggage solution. i wanted to repaint the whole frame just to make it look good. and then i crashed it 3 weeks ago into a 40t truck on a highway (german autobahn) due to some idiots not looking.. now i have to wait. for my broken ankle to heal. and for some money to come in so i can rebuild my old kawasaki ZR7S :) life has thrown some lemons.. lets make lemonade :)

For the baffle, try the baffle from the KTM RC8. I fitted one to my MT07 Akra exhaust. This baffle is the difference between out and in, in the akra (50% +/-). Just might want to check if it'll fit the MT09 Akra exhaust version.

I like the Style :-) But i think it would better when you cover the screwholes from the old mirrors.
@mr.hansen51954 жыл бұрын
I think you should mount some black steering holders - the otherwise black cockpit cries out for it ;-) Two more nitpicks: Personally I would remove the colorful name posters from the steering bar to further obtain an all black look. And as well do something about the mirrors: In my opinion round bar end mirrors looks wrong on an edgy designed bike like the MT-09. One question: how is the feeling of the lower steering bar? Has it changed your sitting position? What about driver fatigue?

I have the stock one on now but wanna do something similar like yours. Good info on it not quite holding up!

Invest in a tune, would easily be the best mod you've done to the bike, more than a useless dash color inversion and stickers. Also invest in a radial M/C. Nissin is available for 200$~, and you can also find Magura and Brembo for 3-400-ish. A lot of places can tune these. Also stay away from Hilltop :)
