I am not religious but Pope John Paul II always fascinated me. My Mum, who is also not religious, made us kneel down in prayer when he was shot. I wonder how many non religious prayed that day. Thank you for a wonderful film.

That was an awesome movie! Thank you for sharing! Saw JPII was at an arena in Sydney, Australia for his visit in 1986/87. He was swinging his arms to the musical hymns and loving it up on the altar, His aides didn't and he shooed them away. I was only 17 at the time but when he entered that stadium, the Holy Spirit came with him! It was something I will never forget or feel again!!

It is entirely possible that this is the very best film on the life of St. Pope John Paul II that I have ever seen. It was the most poignant, and the most real homage' to our most beloved Pope of our Catholic, Apostolic and Universal Church, that I have witnessed to date. We love you, St. Pope John Paul II. May Our Lord Jesus Christ and His Holy Mother Mary, keep you in His loving care. Amen. 🙏📿❤🙏

Saint Pope John Paul II will always be loved by all who remember him. May he RIP. I wish the movie would have shown some more of the important actions he took against tyranny in his youth as a seminarian. Perhaps those revelations about his life came to light after the movie had been made.

As a Catholic I do believe Jesus is authority and law. I pray for the Jews and I am Christian for Israel. God will rule that nation after Satans defeat. I hope I save Jews and Christians from hell and the Mark of the beast. And that Catholics go to heaven cause I want our Church to be saved from the devil and modernity.

You'd have to change the Vatican Church as their pursuit of wealth turns the Catholic faith into a joke! How can they gamble (investing money on the stock exchange), live in opulence, surrounded with priceless works of art, all purchased with the money donated by the poor. The Vatican Church is one of the most wealthy institutions on our planet, and I don't think this would have been met with Jesus's approval. In fact, it's completely contrary to Jesus's teachings. My catholic priest had told us during the Christmas Mass that Jesus was born most probably in June, the star of Bethlehem didn't happen and the whole story about Jesus being born in the stables was made up for children, as it's a nice story. That was our last church attendance. I believe in God, but not in organised religion. We had been asked to stop praying and leave the church one afternoon as the priest wanted to have lunch. We're free now, but I'm so completely disappointed with these men who clearly don't believe in God.

Pope John Paul had a very profound effect on me too, I’m not Catholic to be honest, not bound by any religion, but something very strange happened the first time I saw him, and the day he was shot, I was genuinely deeply affected by it, and prayed alongside the rest of the world, for a miracle.....ME, the least likely person to be affected like this. I believe it was because he was a genuinely good man, one of the very few.

I say all of this in the hopes that you will see the light and the truth. I didn't know the Truth for 50 years of my life until the Lord came to me on a hike, and I've never been the same. You know the world has a different idea of what truth is, but Jesus, the Son of God, is the Truth. What comes from Him is truth-One day it will be all that will matter. I’m not sure if you know but sins are acts against the God and Father of Jesus Christ. There are degrees of sin, with killing of another human being is one of the worst. There are concequences for this sin that might not be obvious at first. In fact you don't even have to believe in Jesus Christ to be affected by sins against God. One day you will take your last breath and you will be face to face with Jesus Christ, the Judge of every human being who has lived, and have to answer for your sins. I strongly encourage you not to vote for a lady who delights in abortions. This is not good for you and certainly not good for this country.

We also ask others here on earth to pray for us, We also pray to all the Saints in heaven. @LuciThomasHardylover-qx6ts3 ай бұрын
That's so good to point out. It is very important. To pray to anyone other than the creator of all,as we are commanded to would be blasphemy. Intercession is,as you say, not the same thing. It worries me deeply how many American churches pray to Jesus, call Jesus God. As though the commandments given to Moses for the people have no meaning.i am not Catholic but had several years in a Catholic secondary school. I learned a lot, but not what people expect when they find out I was the only non-catholic in the school during the 80's. Our RE teacher taught as much about the history of the protestants, about Martin Luther,as anything else.
@matthewbroderick62873 ай бұрын
@@LuciThomasHardylover-qx6ts yet, many in the early Church sought the mediation and intercession of mere human beings like Peter and Paul and their prayers and shadow and handkerchiefs! You must hate that! Indeed, we are God's coworkers, and the prayers of a righteous person have great power in it's effects and those in Heaven are righteous! You are in my prayers as you journey toward Truth! Peace always in Jesus Christ our Great and Kind God and Savior, He whose Flesh is true food and Blood true drink!

In January 1945 he rescued a 13 yr old Jewish girl who had been liberated from one of the camps by the Red Army. She had collapsed from cold and hunger, and could no longer walk. JP2 (as young seminarian) brought her hot tea and food. He then carried her 3 km to her destination. When Edith Zierer learned many years later he had been elected Pope, she wrote to him and they reunited at the Vatican.
