Here from the future... To answer the question, they are not at rock bottom.

Great insight! I was wondering how high do you think is the chance that sunnova could go bankrupt? I dont think that they can survive the high interest rates much longer..
@lv45787 ай бұрын
On the one hand, I think it's probably a good time to get in, because you want to get in when times are tough, not when the company is at all-time high's. On the other hand, I'm worried about what the obvious positives of lower interest rates (which are still to come), lower equipment costs, etc. will do on the competition front...While these companies have no moat, they have a competitive advantage in their scale and ability to raise substantial money through equity financing, which smaller companies lack. Still, what will happen with increased solar installer competition? How much will that squeeze margins?

Competition is an important point. In Europe/Germany competition has increased enourmesly in the last two years with a stagnating market in 2024. This leads now to a wave of insolvencies and price decreases, negatively affecting margins. However, I am not sure how this evolves excatly in the US.

Hi. Good video ✌️ I am new to this sector and i dont understand so much focus on interest rates. Installations costing 50k doesnt seem that much for a household especially considering economic benefits. Arent you ignoring people who can just pay whole principal upfront?!
@asymmetricinvesting7 ай бұрын
Very few people pay for installations up front. Sunrun and Sunnova are 100% financed and SunPower is moving in that direction. So, interest rates are extremely important.

There has been a lot of price resets in the first quarter of the year. It has happened the same in the last years... i think inflation and interest rates will come down starting by the next quarter. If this is right, I would bet on the most overvalued, which I think is Sunnova.
@monash42507 ай бұрын
Not going to happen, latest CPI inflation rates are high, fed would be insane to lower rates this year.

Would be interested to hear more about earnings per share for these top solar stocks and their growth potential in the coming years since that would ultimately drive stock prices up.

EVs are over. But solar panels may have a future if they can figure out the storage.

Does the recent CPI print concern you, especially with the prospect of interest rates either A) Not coming down or B) possibly rising?
@asymmetricinvesting7 ай бұрын
I never expected rates to come down, so it doesn't concern me. We will see what happens after Q1.

All THREE companies Lose Money??? millions $$$ or Billions? why not buy a Profitable Solar Power Company? CSIQ Canadian Solar earns almost $4 per share on a $15 stock??? there is DEBT on the balance sheet but somehow they own Solar Power Projects... No idea if owning a Solar Power PLANT makes any SENSE but it appears to make Doooolllllaaaarrr$$$
