exactly. ignorant people get on him about "durability". but he started his career off with a broken foot and back as a teenager. those two things are hard to recover from AS A PERSON let alone as an athlete who is 7 foot tall. from a medical standpoint, his career has been almost miraculous. he was supposed to be Greg Oden.

I've always said that one of the Biggest mistakes was not selling high on Okafor. Boston offered 2 #1 picks and Marcus Smart for him, but they passed on the deal. I never wanted them to draft Simmons, and when I heard about the trade with the Celtics, I said that they should have tried to trade for Danny Ainge to be their GM.

I hate that embiid had been given the benefit of every doubt. He’s a serial quitter and injury prone. Look at that Atlanta series, Simmons’s gets the blame for it all, so much so he’s never mentally recovered from it. But embiid had one of the worst series from a star player that’s ever been. Simmons was straight up better than embiid near every game. But when he passed up the dunk he became the scapegoat. This team won’t win until they move on from embiid imo. He won’t stay fit this year, and even if he does I don’t think he has the mentality to make a deep playoff run. So many times he’s just quit and it’s because he expects the refs to give him every call and win close games for him.
