Got a Fox Dropframe. I love the fit of it and it’s protection gives me loads of confidence. It’s a bit hot though.

As a noob I've only ever bought one helmet, a Bell4forty, which is great. Love the hi-vis lime colour as it's impossible to miss in traffic. The Fox is a superb looking piece of kit though 👍🦊. Well done for braving the elements ❄️

Just took the biggest crash I've had in 13 years of mtn biking. My head took most of the impact. I would be in the hospital or dead if I wasn't wearing a helmet. But I had a Speedframe Pro helmet on that I have worn for about the past year. After the crash I had 0 symptoms of concussion. Never lost consciousness. Just a tiny bruise on my forehead where the initial impact happened. I thought $190 was probably overpaying for a helmet when I first bought it, but I liked the look and comfort of the Speedframe so I justified the price. Now I'm sold on the protection being second to none and $190 for a helmet that can do what it did on a crash as big as mine now seems cheap compared to the cost of what less protection would have led to. I'm getting the same helmet in the new colorway, and I'm stoked to get back on my bike.... as soon as my hip and shoulder heal up enough.

My fox flux have gone through a lot of hits and crash and is overdue for replacing. I ordered the speedframe as well, mips, but not pro. Will get it in a few days. I had the same sentiments with my old flux's visor, it is so flimsy and the screws gets loose easily. Good thing it was fixed the new speedframe's design. So excited to get mine!

That new fox lid looks great. I use the Bluegrass Goldeneye helmet. Most comfortable and lightest I've worn so far. Might have to try the Fox for comparison?

How deep does the helmet sit? The flux always felt way too shallow and it always moved around

Currently with a giro chronicle. Great lid very comfortable. But ventilation is a bit poor so great for winter but can feel my brain cooking in the summer. So looking to move to the speedframe pro!

My question is the only difference between the Speedframe and the Speedframe Pro the magnetic Fidlock system??? That alone to me is not worth an extra $50. I bought the basic Speedframe MIPS for my gf for $60 on Foxs website on sale and Im trying to decide which one I should buy for myself. I could even see many people preferring the standard clip instead of the fidlock as its very easy, intuitive, and familiar to most people.

Is this helmet sufficient for Enduro riding or similar protection level to the Giro Montaro Mips? Using that one currently, but prefer the Fox simply due to its looks. Thanks in advance!

Hi Sebastian - yep, perfect for enduro riding and it looks a lot like the Giro, but the Fox has a few more well positioned vents as far as I can tell. Fox does look good :-) Thanks, Matt.

Sizing is bang on - I'm a large Fox Flux and this Speedframe is large and bang on.

I had bought a different helmet on Amazon at the beginning of this summer for my big headed daughter to wear while bicycling and scootering. kzbin.infoUgkx0ipcYkXV-2YCp_cBN3HLfzR_OoD0HQYx Well it was WAY too big and not adjustable at all. Previously we had really expensive but adjustable helmets from the local bike store and I didn't really want to pay $50 again for another helmet. I searched and was fairly sure from the reviews that this helmet was what I was looking for- and it was! The pads inside are comfortable, the rim in front provides a bit of shade, but most of all for me there is the dial adjuster in the back which allows for a really secure fit on my daughters head. It seems like it will fit for a few years too which makes me even happier! She loves the pattern and I might end up buying another one for her twin sister (who has a much smaller head!)I definitely recommend this helmet. My daughter is 5 but has a big head. Her twin sister could fit in this one as well but it's a bit big.

these big helmets ruin the fit of a lot of nice cycling sunglasses - not sure why they need to be so big. Not as if you're ejecting from a mach 2 fighter jet.

Depends how fast you ride :-) Fair point though. What glasses do you ride in? I was wearing Oakley Jawbreakers yesterday with the Speedframe and they fit fine.

Exhaust ports - works only for farts. These helmet will be too hot to ride in for anything warmer than 20 celsius.
