If you ever find yourself in Keswick, we found the Wetherspoons an interesting place to eat. It's an old courthouse, so even a holding cell is a side room you can eat in. It's called "THE CHIEF JUSTICE OF THE COMMON PLEAS"

Dornoch looks great in the snow, have stayed on the caravan park there. The Eagle Inn does great food - shame it was not open. If you love jails you should visit Inveraray jail (towards Oban) - you get to take dogs in.

Dornoch jail looked amazing with those lovely shops but still had a spooky vibe, bit expensive though. Stunning scenery, glad you are stocked up with food and Chico keeping warm. Thank you for showing us these lovely places most of us will never get to see, enjoying watching , sitting in front of my wood burner. Stay safe and warm. Brilliant after all that, Mark got his chinese, such a shame it was not that good.

No restaurant is worth walking so far in freezing temperatures. You should both say goodbye to snowy Scotland and drive down to the south of France. Summer would be a better time to tour Scotland

Lovely scenery. I should think a cuppa hot chocolate would be nice. Yes mine is that way Lisa , but in a different way, he keeps telling me we don’t need it. Do home made.!,, I heard in Scotland it reached in the highlands 19.6 yesterday. Mind you neither you or JP found the heat. I think you may have rain tomorrow. . You like nice meals , some folk aren’t that bothered I think when they give good reviews on not such good food. Plus if that’s what they are used to in they live in the area, that’s all they get.
