ive been to three of these! (bird in hand is easy to miss, its between log cabin and old country store and you can be passing it by the time you notice.) may i suggest you get a copy of the All Mid-Atlantic Shop Hop magazine? i found stores i never knew existed!

we have all kinds of Amish shops near us my favorite is the bake shop and the doughnuts. my (Ron) Mom and Aunts do quilting. and get there supplies from the Amish shops. I think that's how we all got here lol Jill did a great job .

Thank you Donova and Jodi, I remember a sewing factory back home and they had a button "box" that was 3' x 3' x 3'. I could have just dived in as a kid and never be seen again. I guess that was the beginning of my love affair with sewing.

We know. The Amish farmer next to our campground has a lot of dogs and his neighbors too. Sad but true. They had a dog named Sadie, she was sweet as can be, she would come over to the campground a look for food. Always pregnant or skinny as all heck. Poor thing looked sick. Wouldn't be a Steve Turtle video without some humor. 😄 The felt projects that Jill talked about are also called "wool applique". I've done TONS of those! I'll email you a link to a photo album of mine. The Old Country Store in Intercourse is a store I used to sell stenciled signs to that had sayings about quilting. They were a very good customer, then it closed down and then changed hands. I even taught a wool applique class there once. And, I used to sell wool applique creations to the quilt store across the street from it. I was quite the busy crafter back in the day. Jill did a great job on this video and I'm sure it will be a popular one with the quilters. I'll share it out on my FB for ya.
