So fun trundling about the castle with you both. I did love all of the nooks and crannies. Who knows what all was hidden there?! Thanks so much for the tour, as always a good bit of fun, with some history thrown in for good measure. Have a lovely day and hope you are keeping warm. It is colder than a polar penguins sphincter here today.

Something to consider about bridge height, if there is an uphill slant at the end it may lift your vehicle up enough to wedge your roof to the bridge ceiling even if technically it is rated high enough. It happens a lot near where I live to transport trucks, but their length is a major factor. Don't forget there are two of you so one can get out and be a spotter while the other drives forward slowly.

There was the original castle about 200 yards in the woods behind where you stood in back. Just a little trek in the woods

Hello dear friends, so nice to see you both. Rather in your van, in a castle or a museum. Interesting place by the way. It deserves an average of 8 I believe. Dan you need to listen to Mazzy more carefully, she has very good taste. Of course by being with you but she really appreciate arts and other things you do not like, so doing an average of both evaluation would be fair 😉 already waiting for your next video. Kind regards from Finland, Pascal

I know there are lots of castles dotting all of Europe, but when I see ruins as complete as this, it seems ashame to me that they are not restored and conserved. Our government's can spend billions on wars in foreign countries but ignore the preservation of rich historical sites and infrastructure. Sad.

Dan, be very careful when judging heights of bridges! The signs may say one height, but that is the height when it was built. Over the years, due to repaving, grading, ect. the actual height may be a lot less! If you are in doubt, stop, get out and look. Nice castle. Doesn't seem to triangular to me. I wanna know how they were able to keep them warm with only fireplaces. See ya in the next one.

Daniel a triangle castle means you only have to defend 3 sides instead of 4 or more sides

So if they had built a round castle, they'd only have to defend 1 side?
