From my noob perspective, UD is the race you're the most impressive with overall. Maybe because I'm too used to seeing you play Orcs. But for sure I'd say you use undead armies better than NE armies. I love your use of NE heroes, though.

2:40 worth noting it's 0.25 regen per second always for human and orc non-hero units (with obvious exceptions like troll regeneration) and for UD it's 2 regen per second on blight and 0 otherwise

Is it possible to reliably creep twisted meadows mine and laboratory as your first two camps? As orc? Even with three grunts before tech opening, it seems that it needs insane time investment and or micro.

Yes but you need the right spawn so that you can pull the rock golem with a grunt and trap it with a barracks and ww blade and the grunt with a burrow to support

@@thesustraveler Ah yeah, I forgot about that, but it's not reliable and I may not want to open blade Regardless, I found doing the merc camp first by pulling it and getting a priest then doing the other two camps is more reliable

@@zachariastsampasidis8880 The merc camp? As your first camp? You're going to take massive damage and probably auto lose if they creepjack you. I would strongly not recommend it as the first camp when you only have hero plus one grunt.

@@zachariastsampasidis8880 So you would do your natural first followed by the merc camp? It's probably doable, sure, but you're going to be inefficient. You can't creep the natural with just a hero and a grunt without needing good amount of time to heal. And if you want multiple grunts then you'll need to do a 2 burrow tech so that also limits your mid game map control once their second hero comes online.

The base original game and the frozen throne can be pirated easily online, though multiplayer is only available through the Blizzard launcher. The original has pretty much everything that the Reforged has but without the graphics no one uses. So you can practice/decide whether you like the game before paying to try out the multiplayer (if you are new you will be absolutely stomped if you don't practice and understand at least basic hotkeys before going to multiplayer).

After all these years seeing DK Lich as the UD hero choice is mind numblingly boring. Even if it's the strongest, nothing says I'm a dull player quite like it

What about human ArchMage first? Specially with Ellies. All the meta combos get boring eventually, but what's mathematically powerful is never boring during serious competition.

You haven't kept up with the meta much then. Crypt lord first has been extremely popular against human, dreadlord has seen a reasonable amount of play either as a first hero and sometimes against copters, and UD has decent tavern hero variety with dark ranger, naga sea witch, and the rare pit lord. UD probably has the highest hero variety and tons variants for first, second, and third hero. Human heroes are much, much more repetitive. Orc heroes to some extent too as they never buy tavern heroes and never get blade or far seer as a second hero. Night elf basically only has 2 and a half heroes since warden is only playable as a first and solo hero.

@@thesustraveler that has not been my experience. Some of the new balance changes have brought some variety but DK Lich is the overwhelmingly typical selection. I've had 2v2 partners leave when I didn't pick DK

@@jookieapc I said "... during serious competition." ... I too play it more for fun than competitiveness. I would always try to disrupt the meta strats and prove other viable options. But just because a playstyle is boring, doesn't mean you cannot competitively win games with it.
