He does that because he cant evade it For some reason, if an enemy is standing very close to a dispenser, the engineer's meele attack is just going to ignore the enemy and hit the dispenser.

@@erob9446 but you could do around 2 or even 3 additional shots while animation of switching weapons. Also you need to get very close to enemy which could be very dangerous in some situations. Thats why imo its still better to use just a scattergun (and wrap assassin for long range attacks)

This reminds me of the Dance of the Iron Butterflies, a beautiful ritual my TF2 clan used to do way back when that was a thing. Two Scouts meet atop the 2 Fort bridge's roof, using only the Fan O' War, whoever knocks the other to the water below, wins. They got pretty intense since the Fan needs to keep consecutive hits to keep dealing minicrits so aggression was the name of the game, but we also saw stuff like people pushing each other down by waiting for the enemy to jump off the roof and body blocking them when they tried to do a double-jump to get back on.

Yeah, it's a really fun weapon. It's decent as a support weapon, makes you deal incredible damage then normally, and not sacrificing anything major like damage, it's a cool melee. Though, you need to be smacking them when they won't see you. Which is why it's best for areas with high ground, or used with mobility increasing items like the Soda Popper.
