Ed Raney is my Grandfather. Whoever posted this thank you so much. He passed in 2007 but would be very happy others are enjoying the songs he wrote. Actually my Grandfather went in the USAF in 1957 and got out in 1960 due to a knee injury. Uncle Jim and Uncle Bill were on leave I believe when they recorded their parts to this song. The picture on the album cover is my Uncle Jim.

Jim Raney is my biological father. I would love to connect with you all. My Daughter in law does genealogy and this would be good info! I do not know much about the Raney family as my mom raised me after she and Jim were divorced. There were only a few years in my teens that I had contact with Jim.

I was in Bamberg Germany 08-10 Warner Barracks. I was with 1st PersCom which cased it's colors and became part of 16th STB/16th SB The 173rd was also in Garrison along with 54th Engineers BN. Good dudes in the 173rd. Used to hang out and drink with them a lot

I served in Aco 2/503 when it was reactivated..My platoon Sgt served in two battalions in Vietnam and another in the States and and 2nd battalion when it was reactivated.He served in all four.battlions .My First Sargent he had the Combat Jump in Vietnam
