To expand on the Norse Myth Frigg got a prophecy that her son would die and went around asking everything to ever exist to not harm him. She realized that she forgot mistletoe but was tired and pasted it off because it seemed like such a harmless plant to a human. The god Loki found out about this and made the dart from mistletoe. Frigg's child had a brother who was blind and while playing a game at a party Frigg set up to celebrate her son not being able to die Loki tricked Baldur's brother (Frigg's son) into throwing the dart at his brother. Being blind he fell for it and that's how Baldur died. (This is what i got from Magnus Chase and The Gods of Asgard so please don't correct me-)

The kissing tradition is also apart of New Years Day as well. Apparently you're supposed to kiss someone if they say "Ball has dropped, whatever girl is nearest to me gets a kiss!" Some guy who stalked me in middle school tried pulling this stunt on me, when my sister found out she immediately pulled me out of the room

Me and some others kids called the kissing part "the curse of the mistletoe" because you had to do it even if you didn't want to. We would also warn each other that it's there or run across the room so we wouldn't fall pray to it. We made a rule that if you stood under it you had to stay there because the curse had gotten you. We didn't like having a mistletoe around because we would have to be cautious about walking through the house.

Jessii I dont know if you will see this but I have a scary story that happened this year I was going to a birthday party then I saw a boy he was chasing the girls like hide and seek he than said "let me se if there is more girls" when he came back he said "the girl with the white dress is missing " NONE OF US HADE A WHITE DRESS I later found out that it was a girl who liver across the place where the party was hosted she hade cancer and loved to play but she couldn't because she hade cancer she died and she appears when there are alot of kids : btw I love your vids and this story still haunts me it's sad but creepy
