Beautiful I bought a second hand Range Rover donkeys years ago & when I started it up Roger Whitaker piped up the previous owner had left the CD in it I never threw it out I never put another CD in and it played over & over I loved that old tub brings back great memories.

I love this song - relevant in 1969 when it was first written - sad that it retains that same relevance today - the stories of the forgotten who remain invisible to most of society set to a beautiful but mournful melodic tune. I'm a 50's child so 60's music including this rendition by Ralph McTell still very dear to me. Homelessness saddens me but even those with one can suffer social isolation , old age and disability can mean loneliness for many who's friends and family fail to see their cries for help. Well done on raising peoples awareness of others silent suffering 👏

DJ bought back many memories of visiting london in 69 aged 15 doing silver for duke of edinburghs award spent 2 weeks serving food and clothes washing dishes Somewhere near Liverpool St in a (hostel i think for homeless men) had to sleep with my shoes under the legs of the bed to make sure they were there in the morning , Ralphs song has stayed with me all my life and i cant believe to this day we cant look after the poor soles that end up there .
