Zabrena, those sparkly metallic eyeshadows that don't pick up well on a brush, often apply beautifully if you use one of those old-fashioned sponge tip applicators. It's often the same for matte eyeshadows that don't have a lot of color pay off when applied with a brush. Try a sponge tip applicator, you might be pleasantly surprised at the difference! I saw another youtuber give this tip a while ago, and tried it. Now I keep sponge tip applicators on hand for those sparkly foiled shadows that either don't pick up well with a brush or tend to start to get hard panned if you try using your finger to apply it. I always apply my shimmers with my finger. I think it always applies the best. I will go get some of the sponge applicators though. I do see one of the KZbinrs I watch use those all the time for her eyeshadow and it always comes out so beautiful.

I follow the Wayne Goss method of concealer application,and it's worked a treat on every concealer I've used since.(I have dry skin) He suggests using an extra layer of moisturiser under the eye. After allowing it to sink in, he applied an eyeshadow primer under the eye (I use the Milani primer). Then he applied the concealer. Boy oh boy, does it make a difference.👌

I really didn't see what you meant by the concealer being a hot mess. I saw no creasing or faded patches but maybe that is not how it looked in real life. I think it was maybe a touch too light in colour though. The look was beautiful and the eyes amazing after you addedtheburgundy/brown xx

*P.S. - I don’t ever use concealer too close to my eyes or on my eyelids, as they ALL crease on me. But this new L’Oreal True Match has been great for my sensitive, combination skin that can somehow manage to be both dry and oily at the same time 😆 I’ve even blended it out and used it alone instead of a skin tint or foundation.

Pretty colors! As for the chunky shimmer shades I ALWAYS use Nyxs glitter glue for all shimmer, satin, glitter shades. It holds the shade beautifully and gives it that pop effect🥰

Every year that you tell us you’re going strawberry picking I know that spring is on its way ❤❤❤OMGeeeee that palette is gorgeous! Kind of a bummer you had some issues with it…HOWEVER you’ve always told us get something a couple of tries before you count it out. Although my beautiful sister in Christ you made it a gorgeous eye look. ❤ Canning is the best way to make sure you and your home family are extended family and friends will be self sustaining in case the need effort arises. Love your videos! I watch them on a 55 inch monitor hooked up to a computer, so I see every detail. Frankly the L’Oreal True Match Serum Concealer looked so obvious on screen, like reverse racoon eyes. As you said in the "after" segment, maybe too much of it? Maybe a darker shade would blend better? As soon as your makeup was completed you could still see a defined line of demarcation. The color is sooo much lighter, it looked like a white stripe between your eyes and blush, especially between the eye shadow and blush at the sides. Otherwise you looked beautiful!! Thank you for all you do, it is appreciated.

I would try setting the concealer. I don’t know how warm it was outside or if your face had any perspiration but that would be a good test.

I always set my under eye concealer with wet n wild photo focus loose powder. I have not yet tried this particular concealer, but maybe give that a try. I know you did powder in your t-zone, but I don't think you put it under your eyes.

My eye makeup doesn't stay put. It's not the shadow or liner - it's the top lashes that mess up the lower lids. I stopped wearing any liner or mascara ( no makeup at all) on my lower lids.

You knoe how it's said "you are your own worst critic". When you showed your face at the end of the day, i thought "that makeup lasted so great all day!" I didn't see an issue with the concealer. Your whole face looked just as pretty at day's end. I cant believe how big your kids are already!
