Sending you giant hugs Erica. My dad was in a nursing home with dementia for 2 years and it was a very hard period for my family. I don’t think anyone could ever imagine how hard it is until you have a loved one that has that condition. I’m glad you have a good family unit so you can lean on each other through the hard times ❤

Condolences on the loss of your grandmother x I hope you’re going well at the gym. I’ve got a long road ahead and I go to the gym at 1am so I can workout in peace and at my own pace. Condolences to you and your family in the passing of your Grandmother. I was very close to my Grandmother so I was inconsolable when she passed. So I feel for you and your family. But nothing compared to when my mother passed 10 years ago so your Mum is very much in my thoughts too at this difficult time. ❤😢

100% keep eye on your Dad my Mother in-law started having lots of falls in her nursing home when we were there she would say her back was sore we would go get the nurse in there and as soon as they would walk in say oh Jean how u r she would always say oh i am fine she had dementia as well, we would say no she is not fine she is in pain give her something at times we would have to push them to help her. She had breaks they didnt know till we push them to get scans done. Sorry to hear of ya Nan i remember u seeing her in the big two story house

Erika my mum has pretty bad Alzheimers but still at home with dad who is 90 and between me, my sister and dad we manage all her cares etc. she is the same can’t identify what the word pain means and if you ask her she doesn’t understand it. But we have noticed she cries now if in severe pain or distress and can’t form the word to tell us. It’s hard work for us all and a learning journey. Hang in there and hope your dad remains in good spirits.
