Church's was born here in San Antonio in the 1950s, almost 70 years ago. My dad liked to buy a big box on the way home from church on Sunday. It was great then, not so much now. FYI it is owned by the same guys who do Popeyes. Competition is good for business.

Popeyes biscuits were amazing in the 80s and 90s - nice and buttery, light and fluffy on the inside and crunchy on the outside. They used to have so much butter on it back in the day. Now it just tastes like a doughy, flavorless scone. Church's biscuits are similar to what Popeyes biscuits were like but with the honey coat to it. It's good once in awhile, but I still prefer the old school Popeyes biscuits to Church's biscuits.

Quang outside of the US I think it is called Texas Chicken. Now I live in San Antonio Texas which is the home of Church's Chicken. My question is how in the hell does Church's Chicken up in Canada look so much fresher than Church's Chicken here in San Antonio? Church's Chicken in San Antonio serves you borderline garbage sometimes. Anyway, Quang you need some fried okra and regular jalapenos to go with that my friend. Wash it down with a Fanta strawberry soda. You'll be straight.
