Director's Statement:
"The Haverford extracurricular scene is all too familiar with the musical medium of a cappella. Since 1981, Haverford has been bombarded with musical notes and accompanied harmonies at least twice a semester. As time passed, the a cappella scene grew, expanding to over eight groups in the BICO alone. This is the greatest student to a cappella group ration in the country. One would think such a casual form of creating music would yield casual groups and casual performances. Alas, this is not the case with many of the groups at Haverford, such as the Haverford College ‘Ford S-Chords... Concentrating on the S-Chords, the greater criticisms of the a cappella world emerges through comedy and mockumentary style interviews. The film focuses on the character of Karl, the pitch/leader, who refuses to acknowledge the group’s casual demeanor, and consistently contradicts statements in his interviews with actions during live filming."
