Yup smelling is part of the 5 senses! What you can’t see or hear, a smeller can discern what seers, feelers, hearers and tasters can’t! It like smelling cucumbers but actually, it’s a snake!

Im a feeler and a seer. Thank you for explaining this so plainly. It is a strength and not a weakness, it is a divine gift...but can be overwhelming. I often have to retreate into the secret place away from people in order to discern what the Lord is showing me and who i need to pray and intercede for. The Lord uses my emotions to speak to me about my own wounds that need healing and ministers to me.

This is all under the prophetic gifts listed in Corinthians. Just like a seer or a hearer, or a knower, the prophetic feeler gets confirmation from others in the body. So it may even be weeks or months later you will start hearing the intercessors talk about praying for an issue you sensed recently or it will be preached about or others will start seeing or hearing about it. So you aren't alone in your discernment. It is spiritually discerned. The enemy has his counterfeit.

It's horrible! Especially when you are around darkness all the time

Love that you brought up Jeremiah. There’s such a nuanced balance! The heart IS deceptively wicked, so we don’t just follow it blindly. But FEELING is so important. I FEEL things very deeply. You can’t show empathy without feeling things with people. As Jeanne Mayo says, “Make sure you feel it before you try to fix it.”

I’m a feeler! 💕 This is a revelation I had just this year when I finally sat down with God and asked Him about my identity. Last season was so rough for me because I was in an environment and I was sensing the atmosphere at work (it was a new job) and it was absolutely overwhelming. It was the most toxic place I’ve ever been. I would talk with other believers and tell them about my experience and they would invalidate it. They told me to stay in it for the retirement benefits, awards, and to prevent having a spiritual “do over” season. I tried not to show my emotions on the outside, but inside…it was a battle. I still did ministry at work and I finished my assignment there and got out. I am on sabbatical. It took me a month and a half to get to a good space. I wasn’t privy to my prophetic personality then, but I’m grateful that you are talking about this! 😊 Thank you!!!

I love this so much!!! I feel so validated because I was taught to pray away the feeling, think happy thoughts, or just ignore them. Thank you for speaking to us and knowledge that we exist and that we can hear God too❤❤❤

Thank you so much for this teaching. Recently, I started asking God to bring people in my path that could explain the gifts I had. For many years, I have felt strange, different, not wanting my gifts. I related to so much of what you taught today. I have several gifts, especially the one of dreams, as well as knowing, feeling, seeing and hearing. I have gotten mad with God because I didn't understand what I am supposed to do with the information I get. I even went to talk to a pastor as I was struggling with some information God showed me and he made me feel like I was a witch or psychic. That really hurt. You explained things so clearly and to the point. Thank you, I have a better understanding now. I don't feel as crazy.

I'm 1000% a feeler and the book of Psalms is my absolute favorite. I often write out most of my prayers and have such a heart for worship. For many years I felt things so strongly and I struggled with anxiety and depression. It wasn't until I allowed myself to be consumed by His love, joy, peace, etc. and my identity to be established in Him that things changed. Now, I am very rarely consumed by the worries of this world. It would have likely helped to have someone teach me about this when I was younger and starting out in ministry but after time the Lord was the one who ultimately taught me. It was a long process for me but He didn't leave me where He found me. I realized that up until the Lord got ahold of that gift in my life the enemy did as he pleased with it.

I’ve been praying for a mentor who has the gifting of a feeler because it hasn’t felt like a gift to me, but I know somehow it is. I just wish I knew how to walk in it and not let the feelings take me down and out. I really appreciate your teaching on this. 🙏🏻🥹

Havilah, I would love for you to share biblical truth that aligns with this ideology. As someone that dabbled heavily in the occult almost 10 years ago and was radically transformed by Jesus, this set off all the alarms in my spirit. It’s dangerously close to the concept of “empaths”.

She’s giving great Scriptural evidence for everything. I think you’re looking for a chair verse to sit down on, which isn’t something we should always look for. The Bible is full of patterns and examples not just a definitive statement. This is a conversation where see throughout Scripture that not only is God one who feels, but we’re made in His image. We have emotions. And they’re not baggage or evil. It’s how we’re designed.

Personally I think a lot feelers have gone thru a lot of welfare which developed this sense of picking up these emotions or atmospheres. Most of us that have strong feel senses should get inner healing so that we can use this gift effectively
