I know exactly what you’re talking about and I’ve been listening to different people talk about it. What a mess. I’m glad Marc Driscoll said something about it but wow, that event and what happened after has made me sick and I’m shocked that the men at that conference didn’t walk out. Just some thoughts.

And this is the reason why I was hesitant on going to church. This can happen anywhere in any country and in any church. Gratefully, I found a church that I feel God in and they act like Christ, not the deceivers.

let the Lord deal with him, pray for him, and allow God to work in their leaderships heart. we can be so deep into what others are doing. that it can hinder us from the focus on Gods will in our lives. wendy is right on how she talks of this situation

A wonderful message! I've never understood why more Christians don't read their bibles more. God tells us in His Word everything He wants us to know if we're really seeking him, and want to live a Christian life. Discernment is so very important in our daily lives because of all the deceivers in this world. The true test is if something brings honor to our Lord, or if it's "of the world". Thank you for saying what I've been thinking!

I do remember when Jesus was angry about the buying and selling in the temple. I believe this was an abomination for any Christian to stay and watch. I believe bringing this to the attention to those attending this conference was appropriate and needed. Shame on the pastor who ask Driscoll to leave. You are right Wendy that we need discernment, and ask the Holy Spirit to convict us , and He will.

Having a sword swallower does not in any way draw men's hearts to their need for the Savior. I had never heard of this men's meeting or the situation that transpired until you brought light to it, but I did just watch a short clip and it was absolutely godless and satanic. I am shocked that there is even an issue about whether or not this should be in a "church" service that is meant to spread the gospel of our Risen Savior! It's sad because at the end of the day, the lost will see the division among believers and will be repelled from wanting what we have. The name of Jesus was not glorified in any of this but rather the opposite will have taken place. Jesus said that if "I be lifted up...will draw all men unto me." John 12:32. Very, very sad to hear about this. I have never heard of any of the men involved but this is definitely going to hurt the cause of Christ. Very sad indeed...

No matter how much the world trys to get into the kingdom of God by any other way or door ,back door , hole in the floor or hole in the sky, there is 1 way to the Father{ God through Jesus } , it will never happen because they have 2 different natures, 1 being the carnal nature enmity against Gods nature one fights against the other .
