Let's take a moment to acknowledge that Bradley Williams used to have a reputation as a hot head on the course. He was suspended from PDGA competition for an angry outburst and there were many stories of his temper getting the better of him. Instead of letting that become he legacy, he made a change for the better. He worked on controlling his anger, he didn't become bitter at the PDGA. He came back a better man, and has been able to become known for his incredibly smooth form as well as his mentorship. Kudos Brad!

I know I don't have time for live coverage,.. 3-4 rounds, 4-5+ hours. Post round, edited coverage has been a staple for youtube for some years now.. and it's slowly going away to the paid model.
@evanredmon38772 жыл бұрын
@@JMRSplatt There is probably an untapped market for post production videos in all sports. People love live action, yes, but there' a reason why sports wrap-up shows exist (not to mention NFL Films, who doesn't love that). We want the action AND the after-action report too. We want context. Combining live-action feel with after-action info is a winning formula IMO and I hope Disc Golf always has a place for it.

Best practice round yet. Bradley's input is amazing and to see everyone together jiving and having a great time is amazing as a viewer. Leaving some extraneous content in is a great way for viewers to feel more connected. Imo it's a practice round for y'all, but for your viewers it's a good chance for us to feel more familiar and connected to the pros and the sport.

Agree with Uli's harsh but fair criticism of Jerm complaining about catering to bombers. Imo the elite series is balanced pretty fairly everywhere from short/ tight purely technical shot courses to insanely long ball golf courses, and everything in between. There will come times where driving 100 feet shorter than another player has it's big disadvantages. So be it

Might be too late, but you guys should look at the forehand out to the right on hole 8. It leaves you an easy backhand upshot to the basket. The further up and to the right you go on the drive, the better.

And Bradley just smashes the LEFTY on the first hole??? Him AND Eagle. What the hell is going on right now, lmao. Are we seeing the beginning of the ambidextrous revolution?
@kimmomatikainen18432 жыл бұрын
There has been quite many pros throwing both hands for quite a long time. Just haven't gotten much publicity. For example Finnish Jalle Stoor took a birdie in one US tournament with a lefty hyzer and it was in a video card maybe 6-7 years ago, or more. No one really commented it back then and he isn't Eagle. The same guy has thrown over 1000 rated round lefty only. I know about 20 players who throws over 400 ft with their weaker arm. Lot of players don't want to stop throwing due to an injury so they start throwing with the other arm. There are also many who plays e.g. RHBH but forehands left handed. Weird stuff. There has been such players further in the past as well. It's just players like Eagle who gets the publicity gives it visibility. When you know what to do and how to throw, you can improve your weaker arm quite fast. The bigger step is to actually use it in tournaments. Of course some people learn it faster than other people. In soccer some players kicks just as well with both feet. Disc golf is relatively easy so I would be surprised if this both left and right skill doesn't become more common in the future. I am now working on lefty forehand approaches.

THE "ULI SHUFFLE" PUTT OR PINKY PUSH PUTT 😜
@Gekayshaman2 жыл бұрын
Honestly, I was with you guys saying that some of these holes are getting crazy with length and a course shouldn't cater towards bomber throwers, but is it so bad to have a course here or there that do that? There are courses that technical throwers are better at, there are courses that you're always about 30-50 feet away from the baskets on good throws that cater towards good putters. Maybe it is good to have these bombers. Make it so only the best well-rounded players will keep in the top 20 when the field develops more. It will also make it so certain players are feared more on certain courses. Look at USDGC, everyone always says Sexton is in the mix because it suits his play well.
