Hi Markos. First I'd like to admit, I have a fish finder. It was given to me. Second to say, I have never used it. I feel they are cheating. Rather than using skill and hoping for fortune, anglers merely "aim" for a specific fish. Further, the seas generally and especially around Greece, are overfished. So many motorised boats and now fish finders. There seems to be no place for fish to hide now. We need large, adult fish to be able to find some sanctuary so that they can breed and sustain fish stocks. I'd be interested to hear your views.

I have a thousand screenshots of fish and my lure between them, and they do not care. Fish are smart and believe me, they have started to recognise the sonar pulse. Thsi is why many times i approach the spot with gps on but pulse off and i cast without checking if fish are bellow. But believe me that in houndreds of miles of mud, is not possible to find a place with fish without sonar. At least in my waters.

Hi Markos. Thank you for replying. You are an angler with skill that I respect and I value your reply. I am pleased that fish are beginning to adapt. Having studied Fish Science at a British university I am concerned by falling fish stocks. I have no problem with people who, personally eat what they catch but indiscriminate catch and release and trophy fishing..especially with a fish finder...threaten fish stocks. For me, your best video was the one where you took a fish back for your family to eat on Tinos. Just one fish, caught with skill.
