Excellent advice Markos. My best catches were indeed in shallow areas when the conditions are medium rough (not super calm, nor crazy rough), there are nice structures, but most importantly the fishing spot is ALIVE (meaning there are bait fish and creatures are around and active). Bait life and activity is the best indicator, doesn't matter if shallow or deep. After all, lure fishing is all about looking for fish that are looking for BAIT. Learning how to "see" when a spot is "alive" or not is king. Because it's not always very obvious, especially when the bait are nervous and trying to hide for some reason. ;-)

Μέχρι πρόσφατα ήταν εμπειρικό φίλε μου. Στο ρολόι κοιτάξα την ώρα. Ωστόσο το Garmin έχει ένα εξελιγμένο λογισμικό που βάζεις τις συντεταγμένων και σου βγάζει με αρκετά αξιόπιστη ακρίβεια τις αλλαγές.

Is it only from experience? 😂 And have you ever considered replacing treble hooks to single plug hooks to try and reduce the snags in the shallows ? Hey man. I calculate the depth with the multicoloured line. I will prepare a video about it. I don't like single hooks. I have tried them and yes they reduced the snags but I have lost many fish, especially snappers and barracudas

Hey bro. It would be better for sure a bit higher, but the adequate size in saltiga (5000) has a retrieve of 96. So it's very close. But for sure, as I mentioned, it would be much better with more retrieve.

Hey Dinko Currents change every 6 hours. On my area it's easy to understand, as with a walk down the sea, I can check at what level they are. So counting by 6 (and keep a 10% of difference) I know their "schedule" for the next days. Of course I always go much earlier than the desired time.
