Smoke catridges are used. They are ignited electrically via remote control. You can buy them with runtimes of 3,4,5,6 etc. minutes.

Easiest way to find thermals lay out a grid pattern of smoke

how is the smoke generated? it looks as controllable as a power aircraft. Love the momentum management from those big sailplanes.

Sailplane is no such thing as plane with sail. Where are the sails on a plane? Its just nonsense. It's either a commonly known Glider or it's nothing. A Glider is a light aircraft that is designed to fly without using an engine and designed to glide/soar with the help of thermal uplift caused by warm air. The aircraft was categorized as a Glider because it glides by lift caught under the long wings once it enters a thermal draught. If no thermal uplift is present, it gradually returns to land. They are not airplanes where they can fly great distance with the thrust of a propeller or jet engines. A Glider is always flown close to Club's airports for a safe landing. A sailplane is not a known aircraft, doesn't have sails or anything that is classified as sail craft or sail plane. Whatever stupid names you use for a Glider, it is still a Glider. So stick with the name that was given to a powerless, gliding aircraft and give the sailplane bullshit the flick. Stop using other made-up names for something that is already well known as a Glider. No wonder the English language is as confusing as f**k. Too many maestros in this world and all of them have no idea wtf they're talking about. It's a wonder a Glider wasn't also named Planinplane. Who know. Seeing that there are way too many ignorant, poorly educated dunces in the English Kingdom, who known what other bullshit words they're going to use.
