The ladders are there to prevent snow dropping down on the people walking by. They are called "Schneefanggitter".

the idea behind it is that snow only gathers above it and the fact that it's a grill allows snow to melt through it. Oh, it's normally done for roofs with a slope of up to 60 degrees, roofs that are steeper than 60 degrees do not gather snow (theoretically, might be different in areas with high snowfall)

The reason I really love to watch these videos is, that as a German, you sometimes really forget how beautiful and nice your country is. But then you have Americans who visit Germany and they point out all the things you don't see anymore, and you realise what you've actually got. So awesome!

No doubt on their health conditions. My commend was more about the fact that regarding the population, more Americans have overweight than Germans and American food is tested to have more sugar in general than stuff in Germany/ Europe. But, to be fair, there is a change in American food consumption (as well in Europe) as reported by the German _Handelsblatt_ from 05-06-2017.

@@pacino9527 Exakt! Bei weich oder mittel gekochten Eiern köpft man oben und löffelt dann aus! Hartgekochte schält man eher oder rollt Sie mit leichtem Druck über den Teller/Tisch damit die Schale zerbröselt, dann sind Sie viel leichter zu schälen.

@@brittakriep2938 Old homes were white with white or black trim. Ranch style homes were big back in the late 40's-60's and were what I used to call baby shit brown. Often with a bit of brick trim. By the 70's California style was making it's appearance. They had clay tile roofs, fake arches, plaster work, exposed beams etc and those were usually white. By the 80's homes were being painted taupe.

These "ladders" on the houses are for stopping snowmasses sliding and falling on the heads of pedestrians or cars. Also we usually dont walk direct under the edge of a roof when its freezeing because Icespikes could build up on the edges and could possibly fall on our heads. Grüße aus DEUTSCHLAND

In Berlin ist es im Großen und Ganzen sauberer als in manchen kleinen Städten. Natürlich gibt es Plätze und Orte wo täglich tausende Menschen aufeinander treffen, da kommt es auch zu Schmutz. Aber das gängige Klischee in Großstädten sei es dreckiger ist Schwachsinn

Negative thoughts & comparisons really drag you down to a bad place. Being around others who are negative will have an effect. I've seen & felt it firsthand. Anytime I'm feeling down, I just pray & thank God for all the blessings I have, which tbh are a lot. And looking back, anytime I've ever really needed something, God provided. And not just provided, but I learned a life lesson along the way as well. Kinda blows my mind when I think about it.

Ich krieg da immer ne Krise wenn ich das sehen.😅😂 Bei uns zu Hause werden die immer geköpft und zwar genau in der Mitte damit man zwei gleich große Hälften hat. Popeleinfach und mit Abstand der schnellste bzw. sauberste Weg wie ich finde. 👍🏾

@@bluepearl_22 Bei uns wurde immer die spitze aufgeklopfte und dann das Ei aus der Schale gelöffelt...allerdings mögen wir unsere Eier auch eher weichgekocht, da sind zwei gleich große Hälften einfach nur eine Riesensauerei.

The ladders are on the one hand so that a mass accumulated snow accumulated on the roof has not fallen down and causes property damage and besides they are for chimney sweeps so they sometimes have to go to 2 chimneys not have to leave the roof

The ladders are used to protect people’s from falling snow on them. And... it’s also used that the leaves from the trees don’t falling in the pipe and blocking them
