Actually the meat consumption in the US is much higher than in Germany (more than 50% higher according to the statistics I have seen). O.k. California might be different. I've been learning German for a year but still don't have the confidence to speak in public, props to him for doing it with literally zero knowledge of the language lol.

I know you didn't mean anything derrogatory about saying the life is simple in the countryside but it its wrong many commute to jobs in town and either the farmers wife or he himself or both have jobs off farm very few are full time farmers.Irish planning laws were lax up to recently which meant living in the countryside was very easy and cheap to build houses which is very different to the rest of europe where you can only build in urban areas.They are thoroughly plugged into modern life a bit quieter and close to nature but its not like living in a wilderness miles from civilization
