I enjoyed the ramble. I would like to see a discussion about Shiro vs CRK.

That “thwack” it makes when opening is dreamy.

Have a Shiro 111 gen 5; it’s light and deploys like a dream. Just got the Neon Zero for a smaller, lighter footprint. Was amazed at how difficult it was to deploy. Took some getting used to, but I love the simplicity and stark unadorned beauty of it. Never been a fan of lanyards, but this may be the first; may use one I took off one of my CR Sebenzas. You said it right when you called it classy - that it is, in spades.

I had the exact same experience with mine. Fresh from Recon1, considered returning which I never do. A month later it was a favorite. It actually reminds me of CRK thumb studs, how so many people have trouble with them, but most who edc them come to like them (or at least not mind).

TRMs thumb studs are rough as well but once you get used them there fine.

I know Shirogorov are on another level technically speaking but i still prefer to encourage U.S. made knives for ethical reason... (Strider knives)

Fantastic overview. How slippery and slippery? I really want this knife and I’m concerned that it may be too slippery versus a flag pattern? What would you say to people? Thanks again

You got me into CRK's, I trust your opinion enough that I got the neon zero after watching this. Should be here tomorrow. Unfortunately, CRK quality is pissing me off lately, it's been super hit or miss. What I do love about CRKs, is that smooth feeling you get when you open and close it. Do you get that same smoothness from the Shiro?

The Shiro IMO is unbeatable.

@@iAMboognish Man this thing is sexy, I can't put it down. Hated it on the first day but now it's become second nature to flip open and closed. I'll be looking out for those comparison videos

The snow peak h450. Best mug ever. Highly recommend the “stacking” one. (Without handles)
