I used to have some friends in Madrid and absolutely loved 'being a local'. They took me to some amazing rock pools around the mountains outside madrid that I suspect tourists rarely go

I had a feeling but when I saw the arch and rocks before you confirmed the location I knew it. I spent every summer holiday from age 6 to 15 in that location and a few times since as an a adult. That first beach was the main morning beach. It’s fun climbing up all the stairs and steep hill we stayed on it when a storm suddenly comes in. The area has changed a lot during that time but it’s so beautiful and not built up. Tony’s restaurant in small main Calella down near where the fishing boats moor up on the beach was always amazing. The view from the lighthouse above Llfranc always a classic too. Anyway the walks along the coastal front are amazing and Cap Roig gardens. I’d love to see one of the concerts there one day. It really is a beautiful part of Spain. Super jealous.

Well,all of that was lovely. You've shown me non-tourist Spain and why so many want to go and live there. It's lovely to see you getting more drawn into the actual life of the country you now live in. Your film really showed how beautiful Spain is,that I'd never really "got" before. I know there were lots of "tourists" there but there was still a "non-tourist" vibe to your film. That water looked wonderful. But I never go in the water!
