Costa Brava is full of stunning beaches 😍 The sea is actually pretty warm here! We are used to the Atlantic Ocean, and the Mediterranean sea feels like a hot tub 🤣

Thanks for your comment, John! Glad that you enjoyed the video ✨️ We love visiting around mid September, but I'd say that May would be nice too. Re the mossies they are horrible in Sept and Oct but I can't speak for the rest of year, I'd say that summer is even worse 😰 There is a new type of mosquito called tiger mosquito and their bite is 10 times worse 🥲 Put loads of repellent on! 🦟

Great video, one of your best. What time of day do you film as so many places look empty? Ane is so natural on camera and looks so photogenic in the beautiful setting of Costa Brava. We are now thinking of heading there, though the mosquitoes sound terrible.

Thank you! Costa brava at the end of September is almost empty (especially weekdays). We shoot all throughout the day (Ane is no early riser 😂). I'd imagine that mosquitoes will be the same everywhere really in the Mediterranean coast while it's still warm 🙄🙄 Don't let them put you off!! If you come to Costa brava, you can also go to the Pyrenees afterwards!

@@ShaneandAneVanLife I think we will in a week or two. I need to swim in the beautiful sea. You need to get shower like ours, much better than a water bottle. We use a black plastic Jerry can for the sun to warm the water as we drive. If necessary we throw in a kettle of boiling water too.

Yes we have! We normally would go out once a week or so :) As Ane is Spanish we have been in Spain a lot so we have had a long time to taste the local specials!! Plus I'm allergic to fish so I have to stick to the meat 🤣🤣

I love Ane's Irish accent until she says Costa Brava and she immediately reverts back to Spanish🤣.Now with all due respect to Fergus who we all love dearly(and is the real star of the show) you probably still made it up the hill to Begar Castle by walking quicker than Old Fergus could have driven it.And it would be shame on you both for making a gentleman of a certain age attempt a climb like that🤣 If your ever in Elche feel free to pop in for a cuppa then kettles always on You can't miss my place I'm the one with the flag pole in the front garden and the tricolour flying proudly.🇨🇮🇪🇸🇨🇮🇪🇸

Hey we have a chemical toilet built in under the seat and for shower we have a portable battery shower which is great. When you travel through Spain or Portugal you'll find free showers everywhere which is great :)
