Ive found more success with my 483 Ashes than with my 489 Branch. The difference when it all lines up right is massive, but the ease of use to me personally is worth sacrificing the ilvl.

Man, I'm a new DPS player. Got some 24+ in my tank role as a Paladin. The guys needed a new DPS so I got my DH in the Core. Im gearing and learning right now. The GTbuild is a lot easier for me but I got a question. It's worth to drop down Ragefire and add the point on Serrated Glaive to bring my toon on the guild runs? (Droping Sigil of Misery, Charred Warblades and Lost in Darkness to take Infernal Armor and Felfire Haste)

Ragefire is significantly better in any form of aoe, only Time you’d ever drop it is if it’s a super low key and packs die before it can blow up, and you’d pick up EssB/GT (which ever you don’t already have) instead

Hey, I know late in the season but..got finally Ashes today..but my Sims say for M+ Branch and Signet ist better. Ashes are 5k lower DPS..what should I pick ?

Use ashes and another passive if you can. Branch is nearly impossible to use to its full value in m+, and signet is just basically not usable in m+ because you’ll drop stacks

Hi! Nice video, thanks a lot. Got a question about your opening. When cast your 2 immolation aura/fell rush so quick, dont you lose like 2 or 3 sec of the innertia buff?

no the buff stacks up to 10 seconds, so as long as you dont use more than 2 in a row (which should be impossible to do outside of an evoker) you wont waste any

Is it valid to do my Inertia+Initiative combo by doing Immo Aura>VR>Eye Beam>Fel Rush>EssBreak.. etc? I find that I'm likely to whiff the EssBreak if I do it directly after VR

You can but you miss the inertia on Fel Devastation then, which would be less damage. Wouldn’t be major tho so if you wanted to do it that way you can. Obviously that is the *correct* way for st tho

Because our tier set throws it, I didn’t mention it because the tier set causes blade dance to do it automatically. With how easy it is to get tier set, I didn’t mention it, but if you don’t have tier set you can’t drop those

For AOE option (with EB, also GT), any thoughts on using hunt last? also saving an inertia buff for it. Having it with eyebeam and meta haste + innertia benefits it quite a bit.

Nah don’t use it last, you waste CDR that way. Inertia on the intiatial hit is reallly not important, especially in m+, and you get the meta haste and furious gaze after. Buffs are dynamic so they all scale the dot damage

With lust and VERY high haste you can but then you miss a death sweep or a glaive tempest, which you don’t want to do. Buffing the dot is way more important since it’s stronger and hits 5 targets

Also 2 x double time or 1 x double time + 1 thorncaller? the damage thorncaller does is really op in details. Also augury is OP as hell,easily nr 1 damage in boss fights, and overall 4th in damage overall.

thorncaller is worse than an equal ilvl well stated weapon in m+, as is augury. Augury is great if you are lower ilvl or arent as comfortable with the rotation, but its worse than stat trinkets if playing optimally

No not in aoe, the initial hit matters WAY less than the dot. Even in ST we don’t really do that unless you have lust or resets.

that opener is specifically for raid, but no as i said there's like a ton of different openers that are within the variance of each other. Generally speaking, as long as you have inertia on your strong abilities, you're fine!

Because infernal armour is a 2 point node, you can’t path down to increased stamina or the SOF damage with 1 point in it. You don’t use Spectral, it’s just for passing

isnt it better to take off points from the disrupt range and spectral sight talents and put those 2 points in infernal armor so we can have misery, charred warblades and infernal armor

@@smeaky8816 we take it for pathing if you’re also taking sigil of misery, which you don’t need to do. I would never drop interrupt range, you CAN drop the movement speed w/ mastery but it is vastly more useful than infernal armor is. The armor from immolation aura is very rarely useful

Do you have any advice for a player that has been ranged 90% of their wow time? I love havoc in m+ because of the interrupts and AOE and blade dance. They kind of fake me being decent. But lots of anxiety in Raid because I am used to watching from a distance.

One thing melee have to deal with a lot more is area denial, like frontals and things.I think if you’re just starting with melee playing VERY safe is going to get you pretty far, obviously you can’t dps when dead. Just getting used to the flow of the game as melee and practicing the movement and things that you need is a great first step, and as you get more comfortable you can start to do riskier things. Don’t be afraid to use your defensives too! Blur being 1 min means you can have it for most dangerous pulls, so remember you have it.

Hey, why is it worth stacking crit after 50%? When I hit 50% raw crit, I switched to mastery runes and versa phial and mastery food. I have 50% crit, 14% versa, 71% mastery, 18% haste. Stacking crit after 50% feels like weird.. for me at least

It’s a sim thing, you def want to be using iced Phial still unless you need the vers, but gems and what not are going to come down to your individual sim. Generally speaking sims start to devalue crit at around the 52-56% range

depending on the the trinket, with witherbark's branch: witherbark's+sigil of flame, and pot+eye beam. with ashes of the embersoul: ashes+eye beam, and pot+ashes+eye beam. this is in addition to normal rotation eye beam, meta, etc.

Didn't hear any mention of Thorncaller Claw from Raid (Council of Dreams) how does this compare to DT? I currently am running a 489 DT and a 489 Thorncaller.

DT is better in m+ and it isn’t close. A 489 thorncaller is usable, but any 489 we’ll stated weapon would probably outpace it over a dungeon. The double stat penalty on it is super rough

For taking sigil of misery you just need to take point out of the mastery movement speed (below the chaos nova and 2x glaive talents) and put it in to sigil, there's no reason to ever play the spectral sight talent

The movement speed is way more useful than immolation aura armour is, would recommend not dropping it outside of niche scenarios. Spectral sight talent does nothing, yes, but it’s there for pathing more than anything else

No, furious gaze and the meta haste dynamical update the hunt buff, and are both shorter than the actual buff itself. Because of this, getting the inertia onto the fel devastations, as well as the rest of the opener, is better than the wasted time it would be doing things another way. If anything you miss one global of hasted dot which is not a big deal. It’s not wrong :)

You don't even need ragefire unless you're doing above+22. The mobs just die to fast for it to go off. I analyze my damage out, and ragefire can easily get replaced with something that speeds up the single target. I'll give you an example, let's say you pull a pack that has a high priority target and the cleave targets die 25 seconds before the prio target. You are wasting a lot of dps in cleave talents. Sure you got some fancy numbers, but the dps will be lower than if the pack as a pack died sooner. Food for thought. You don't want a potentially one shot mob lasting 25 seconds longer or just doesn't make sense.
