@@aisha.sadiqq don't watch plane crash videos, for a start. Listen to the instructions when they explain the procedures of a crash before flying. Know where your escape exits are. Get a seat near one. Wear running shoes and something comfortable. I wear yoga pants tank and sweater.. Nothing that would pull you down in water. Backpack with basics in there. Always bring your own snacks and have water. That's my general preparedness. Trust the people doing their job or never fly and take another means of travel.

Never ever inflate your life jacket inside of the plane. If the water rushes in too quick or the plane goes sideways or nose down in the water you WILL be trapped because you will be floated upward and will not be able to get out. Pull the cord aftrr you have left the plane

My parents had planned a trip to Hawaii when I was 9. It was set to take off on or near Sept. 11th 2001- and I live in DC so they would’ve been in that area at that airport. The pilot actually didn't do all that great of a job. He got himself a big gash on the forehead, even though the ditching checklist specifically warns him to cushion his face. Inasmuch as the ditching was a planned event, you'd think he would know better what to do. Rather, he probably didn't want to telelgraph the planned nature of the event, so the gash would prove his machismo to everyone around. (That would later be affirmed by other passengers--particularly the passenger-author--in a sick way.) Two other people were seriously injured and required hospital treatment. The link here following shows the last frame before hitting the water. You would be able to make out that he was not in level flight, but had a 20-degree left bank going as he went nose-low into the water. The seat nearest the left main gear attach point broke and spilled its passenger face up onto the floor, making for her serious injuries--a split sternum and five broken ribs. I want to know how the person died. Did they just leave the guy on the plane. I don't see how he died in the actual crash. It wasn't that violent, the guy was able to hold his camera it was so soft.

Trevor Haley The stall alarm was not caused by engine failure. It was the pilot trying to slow the aircraft down as much as he could (during landing flare) before the aircraft hit the water; thus approaching stall speed. :)

Trevor Haley quantomic1106 is not saying there was no failure otherwise they'd have landed on ground, he is saying the stall horn sets off because of low airspeed before touch down, losing an engine and stalling are two different things that don't necessarily come together, here the airplane didn't stall it was clearly gliding

Recording - it is recording. The term "taping" came about to differentiate the recording medium from electronic video format & actual emulsion based film, thus the term ' filming'. Even digital video recording was first done on actual polyester-based oxide coated video "tape" in a cassette shell.
