She is not trying to sound like Whitney, she just happen to have an amazing voice. She was asked to sing a Whitney song for this audition. Its what people want to hear and ask her over and over again since she was 15 and won a talent show in the Netherlands called Soundmixshow. The whole point of the show was to try and imitate a well known artist and she nailed it even at 15 without any effort what so ever. I hope you will give her a fair chance in the US because i the Netherlands is just to small for a voice like hers.

She held back, because on Dutch radio she told she get a cold from the airconditioner in the airplane. Thats why you hear her breath like there is something in her troath. And i saw her live, and i saw she strugled a bit on the high notes, she went deeper then she normaly does with this song.

Why a golden buzzer? She's many years famous in the Netherlands and the only thing she wants is affection in the United States. She will take the luck of someone else's success while she is a proffessional singer! Why she doesn't take the voice of America as a competition?

Once a person(entertainer) presents themselves as a Sound alike of a famous entertainer such as Whitney Houston,whos voice and presence we all miss so much, they can NOT sound like themselves too. When i first saw Ms. Grace's performance from the Netherlands the song she sang ,that Ms. Houston made popular, was perfection. With my eyes closed i visualized Whitney and no one else! I wanted more from this talent Ms. Grace! But what i REALLY wanted was Whitney! So i began following Ms. Grace as she performed in Europe. Each time she sang a Whitney song after the first song i ever heard her sing i could hear Ms. Grace individuality and no longer Whitney and even though Ms. Grace sounded amazing my bubble burst because at those instances she was not our Whitney. We are all individuals therefore uniquely different in some sort of way. And because of that OURSELVES must come through for all to see! It's too hard to imitate someone else and just impossible to do so across the board. Though a great singer as an individual Ms Grace has not gone through the life experiences as Ms. Houston had which affected her voice and manner of singing on and off stage. I'm hoping that Ms. Grace can begin to get into herself and out of Whitney Houston one day but she's "pinholed" herself". She's truly a star performer and a great actor in order to pull off such a close immitation of Ms. Houston. ( personally i think she would be a great actor) Has a voice almost identical to Ms. Houston( that's ALMOST. Remember Ms. Grace's voice is a slight bit different as her individual self and u hear it in certain areas of her singing Ms. Houston's songs. It just comes out. It HAS to!) I don't know how far she will go here in America. I think the people here will be excited initially because she sounds so so very much like Whitney Houston but let's hope when they hear Glennis Grace coming through in her vocals here and there that it won't burst their bubble as it did mine. It's not impossible to do your own thing here but you have to show all that you got and then some. I feel also that Ms. Grace would be a definite smash in Vegas. I can see her name in lights now beings that she's doing Whitney Houston. I also think that it was a not too good of a move to be on AGT or any of these type of shows accept The Voice. If i had to go that direction i would have chosen the Voice. It seems that the judges put forth more of an effort to get you to be yourself as an individual and know your worth as such. Then the judges help get you out there after your done with the show to a much better extent than the other talent shows. Ms. Grace WELCOME TO AMERICA and if at anytime you would like some encouragement or honest feed back please feel free to contact this young informed lady i'm subscribed to here on You Tube. I'm here, listening your analisys, and you are rigth. AGT is a great exposition. Last year y was so upset with Mel, because Celine Tam. Celin have a great exposition no matter she didn't win . She is famous and her dream to know Celine Dion, is going to be.

I usually hate when singers are on AGT, because they have other avenues to be seen (American Idol, The Voice). But Glennis is pretty special. There was another singer that sounded like Whitney before on AGT, but that person got booted. Mel B was saying the same thing, Glennis needs to sound more like herself than Whitney. I say sing however you want, Whitney is considered the greatest and if you sing just like her is that really a bad comparison? Even if she uses her own style, she will be compared to Whitney so is it really that bad that she will just follow a style that was already proven to be successful?

R Age i agree with you.. i dont get it.. its a talent show.. and sounding like someone is a talent.. but glennis doesnt imitate.. she grew up with whitney amd since she was nine she sang whitney sogs and she wanted to sing like her.. i think is difficult to change the style of singing this covers cause she isnt trying to sound like whitney.. not at all.. its just nature.. pure nature.. i dont want her to change her style of singing whitney covers.. this makes her so special. she is not imitating at all.. whitney was whitney and glennis is glennis.. the only thing glennis can do is be creative with the whitney songs like whitney was in her late stage.. like whitney did with i will always love you live stage.. no studioversion.. maybe that will help her more to succeed..
