As the folks at TUS know, I am a huge fan of Uke Logic strings (having ordered many sets, probably 20, though usually soft tension versus hard tension), but on the ‘Oli tenor, the Ko’olau Aho set (I’ve ordered about 5 of these too) sounds more lively. A nice sounding, and looking, instrument.

Please make the book also with tabs. I am just guy playing usually for myself and I cannot read notes. I think that many people like me are around us and having tabs in such book would make happy even more people and book itself will have broader reach. Ian, thank you for spending this effort, I am looking fwd to buy one (even without tabs 😂) ❤

For score for iPad has all the features that Ian mentioned. You can add pdfs, read music off of it. There’s a built in metronome/tuner and a record button. You can also add MP3’s to play along with and change the speed if you want to practice along slowly. You can change the pitch but it changes the sound a bit.

It's so obvious Ian has a voice and ear for story--super excited for this project, and his Disney CD, and whatever else is in the cooker. IAN HURRY UP AND TAKE MY MONEY EH? 🤣 And Andrew I totally agree, I feel like my writing voice has to sound natural for it to work for me, often to the ire of my teachers. Also my first time hearing One Day Soon, my god that song SLAPS

Please make that Notation / TAB / Lyrics book! ❤ I'm so looking forward to the other ones, too. But I did not get the intention right of your books the last time, so I somehow always expected a song collection. And... I can read notation, because I learned it on a c-flute when I was a child, later played the saxophone and now really diving into the ukulele for some years. I still find it hard to play a song just by notation on the uke, because I somehow never got the same understanding for the tone position on the fretboard. I guess because I'm used to having just one linear scale on a sax. 😅 On the other hand, do you ever plan on making a book of your beautiful and dauntingly complex arrangements for uke? Like Colours of the Wind? ❤❤❤

PS: Maybe to clarify. I do hit most of the tone positions on instinct. Yet I don't remember the tone name in that position and could therefore hardly play notation easily without TABs. I like having the notation for the rhythm.

Miles Davis said something to the effect of when you play a wrong note, the next note you play will determine if it's great.

Thx Ritesh and for sure I've been inspired by Chuck since I found him. He had an inlay with three flowers coming down from the top of the headstock, I did a few inlay designs with that concept in mind because I loved it so much.
