Hawk 250 Digital Cluster Upgrade! Step by Step Installation!
I purchased this digital display cluster quite some time ago because the factory analog display was waay off on the speedometer. I finally got around to getting the thing installed and it is pretty straightforward for the most part.
The digital readout is MUCH more accurate. Still not 100% perfect but only about a 2-5% variance from real speed vs the factory which was 10-20% off from real speed. This digital display comes with new wiring, new speedometer/odometer reader and wiring and a harness that is pretty much the perfect length to reach back to the harness behind the motor. The connections that come on it are perfect and plug and play for the bike making it an easy upgrade.
You'll need an 8mm, 10mm, 14mm and 17mm sockets as well as a Phillips screwdriver and likely a zip tie or 2. All in all, should be right around an hour to upgrade to this. Looks much cleaner and is much more accurate.
So far the upgrades I've done to this bike are; Digital Cluster, K&N drop in air filter, air box modification, Sprockets, Chain, valve lash adjustment, LED Headlight, Iridium spark plug, Carb jets, new carb and Gel battery.
I also have an upgraded exhaust, however this didn't come properly fitted so I have to get it bent in a couple spots to work properly and is not yet installed.

@@MotoGamingDad I did get a chance to fix my cluster. Only thing that's not working is the signal lights, do you know anything about that?

Got a link to the Speedo? All the Amazon reviews are junk. How's it holding up? Is the digital mph bright enough in the sun?

May not see this but have you had any issues with the gas gauge not working ?

Mines still working ATM. But anything made from chinesium has that potential to just stop working. My only issue with it thus far is the mph is slightly off, reads a little higher than I'm actually going.

How does it work did your mph get more accurate?

It did! Still isn't perfect, I'd say it's about 10% off or so but it is MUCH better than the analog display. Having the RPM gauge is nice as well (it's a little sticky and not perfect but nice to have) and looks much nicer than the analog display. Definitely a worthwhile upgrade.

It's holding up well! It's not 100% accurate, I did post a second video I believe clicking t with gps on my phone. It's much more accurate than the analog one but still off a few mph starting around 10-15mph and the gap changing more at speed, around 50-55mph it's about 4-5mph off so about 10% variance. It's definitely not a 5star product but it's leagues above the factory analog display. It's bright enough, accurate (enough) and looks much nicer than the analog. I'd recommend it.
