Your best video yet. These type of videos exploring a historical aspect of motorcycling or of a motorcycle model are the most interesting.

The GP7's that I've seen, I thought they sounded like a twin. I like the high-tail version alot better, sounds like a proper V4. I'd gladly take any and all though, haha!

Interesting video Iconic, I will add as an owner for 15 years and the bike having 12000 miles now, that another big issue with these is the exhaust valves coking up, causing low compression and valve replacement, I have 3 friends who also own one and have all had the same problem, no one has yet had a reason why, many theories, one was telling it has not been ridden hard enough, what tosh as mine had been to many track days, then there is the fuel type used, another is when standing for any period the oil sits and burnt when restarted, either way it too is an expensive fix at 8/11k uk pound, the valves are over £600 each and there is 8, but I would have to agree with the guys that this bike feels like no other, mine has the 2007 Stoner valencia paint scheme, wheels are PVM, which resemble the orginal Marchessini's, other wheels dont have enough spokes and dont look right imho, including the BST's, having owned the bike for 15 years generally the bike requires not much more than any other bike, but certainly dont break anything as parts are now becoming rare or very expensive..... my Desmond will be the last bike I own for sure #1335 🏍🙏

I remember in 2002 when all manufacturers were either racing in MotoGP or planning to do shortly, the final configuration for Ducati was not known. Not sure any bike had even been spied in testing. Ducati said for a time in their computer simulations a bike with an odd number of cylinders was the ideal engine configuration. Maybe this was because the RC211V was so much better than all the other bikes, and the Cube was obviously very powerful (but not even close to tamed). It would have been interesting to see what Ducati could have done with 3 or 5 cylinders, although they seemed to do OK with 4 ;)

The 1 thing they did cheap out on was the front and rear generic master cylinders

Brilliant vid guys. I'm sorry but Ducati got the livery wrong on these. I definitely think the Iconic/Deadpool paint scheme is by far the best looking. Just don't sell it before I get there next year ok. Pleeeease!🙏

Dude... I had a chance to ride one a few years ago.... I know a guy that used to have one and ride it from time to time. I totally could have ridden it if I had asked... and of course he has sold it since... =\

I've ridden thousands of different bikes in my life. The Desmo stands out as one I wouldn't even get on and ride again. Absolutely horrible bike to ride slowly and too expensive to ride fast on shitty roads. They are useful for looking at only. .
