I'm curious...most falconers from my limited knowledge hold out for females because they are larger. It's not set in stone, but I'm curious if there was a reason you chose a male over a female. Also, I know little about Harris Hawks.

I dont like the temperment of female Harris Hawks usually, they tend to be more homonal later on. I prefer working with a smaller more manageable bird for me.
