He’s a better overall player than Jarren Reed & he’s being paid to be! His cap hits for 2026 & 2027 will be $6.8 million each year which is fair. He’s a more consistent player than Jarren Reed when used right! This could be an extremely savy acquisition that could have a multiplying effect allowing us to use other players primarily in their best situations! That includes special teams!

I think both John and Mac saw the need to anchor the interior. Hankins is decent on a slim rotation but having him out there all the time was a full liability. He was getting controlled often on the line of scrimmage. In both the Giants and 9ers games he was turned and walled off away from the play. Fundamentally that’s an L, you can’t get taken for a ride half the plays you're in the game.

He does look better than anyone we have that's not Williams or Murphy but that doesn't surprise me . JS has not done well drafting DT.

Jags changed their Defensive front & he’s been a vocal critic of Coach Petersen! He’s from Oakland and like Leonard Williams he might want to finish his career on the West Coast! 2 teams he played for extended him to nice contracts and those teams might have experienced injuries forcing him to play in positions he’s not best suited for. Clearly LB is a major problem for Seattle easiest way to fix that is beef up the DLine! Mike Morris is year 1 due to injury so he’s going to be an inconsistent player!
