Then we started getting SEC games on delay and one day I finally got to see an Illini highlight because it was so spectacular even the SEC put it on. It was that Fresno game where we found a way for an O-linemen to catch a pass, trip over his own feet and fall into the endzone on a 2pt conversion to win the game by 1pt. So yeah I know all about the creative ways the Illini find to snatch defeat from the jaws of victory.

Most expected a blowout and would have skipped through the highlights assuming Illinois won by 3+ scores and it looked that way in the 2nd quarter. Give credit to Purdue for fighting back and nearly winning this game. This was by far the most exciting and entertaining game of the day with so many other great games that overshadowed this game but for there to be a 17 minute highlight video of Purdue vs Illinois on KZbin, you just knew you had to watch with all the craziness from this game

As someone who grew up in Champaign, this is a shift for Illinois in a good way. I can’t tell you how many times people say this should have been an easy win. Purdue had nothing to lose and always go in with a chip on their shoulder whenever playing Illinois. Illinois usually would have thrown that game and then back to being a team that had a good start to the season. This team is tired of being called jokes. I was at this game saying the game wasn’t over. They stuck in there and got a well fought win.

I was at this game, my first college football game I ever been to and it was one to remember. Was pulling for Illinois and I honestly thought it was game over when Purdue was ahead with 46 seconds left. I never experienced a louder stadium before when Purdue QB was sacked on that final 2 pt conversion try. What these highlights don't show was at least 2 times the refs tried to help Purdue by not calling DPI or targeting against them.

The refs gave it to Illinois/e by getting that QB fumble wrong late in the game; Purdue had recovered and was going to run it in for TD! They ruled QB down before fumble, but he lost control before he went down. Horrible call.

I’m extremely impressed with Purdue’s qb Browne. I want to think he was the backup playing for the injured starter. Well Purdue has a qb and offense now. Purdue fans should be excited. There are some guys who are just natural competitors and light up on game day. Look at the way his teammates came and picked him off the ground after the failed 2 point conversion. That’s a young man who just earned the respect from his team. Hmm I’d be a little nervous if I was a duck…

This was not an instant classic. It was almost an all time choke job. Purdue was completely outclassed and being blown out, and they didn't do anything to get back in the game. Illinois tried their best to give it away by repeatedly making stupid turnovers that should never have happened.

I saw a Purdue hold on the 2 point conversion, but not called. I didn't agree with pass interference on the Illinois 2 pont conversion. Illinois was penalized 5 times for 45 yards, and Purdue 6 times for 38 yards. If you're saying that the refs were in the bag for Illinois, you can't support that.
