Don't you think clint breaking that window to catch the bottle is also an illustration of his accuracy powers? He accurately predicted where exactly the bottle was going to come through before it reaches, and then broke a hole in that same spot and managed to catch the bottle and accurately throw it back to the bad guy's spot.. all in just a few seconds of thinking time

Jack’s butterscotch is a calculated move to see if Kate was the acting Ronin. Jack knows the Ronin was at the Armand house (it was on the news). So showing the butterscotch was to see if Kate knew what it was and was thus the Ronin.

I was very excited for this series and so far, the first two episodes have definitely delivered! My favorite parts are actually Clint’s moments with his family. Tony may have been The Godfather of the MCU, but Clint has always been the dad of the MCU. We see this in his interactions with Wanda, his own kids, the way he takes care of the other Avengers and now with Kate too. I also love that despite Clint’s spy background, Laura knows everything. Good relationships rely on effective communication, so good for you Clint and Laura!

That sword cleaning thing that Grills does isn't unique to Ronin, it's a samurai technique popularized in movies (particularly Kurosawa).

The majority of the population were wiped out by the Tokugawa Shogunate and during that era surviving samurai transitioned out of being warriors. The culture still lives on but practicing warrior samurais are not alive. Second of all, I would assume Kurosawa lived in the MCU, but his movies are not more popular to an American than a modern day American superhero. IF Grills saw the movies then he would know how to wipe his sword properly which you yourself pointed out he did incorrectly. Nerd, yes. Samurai aficionado, probably not.

I highly doubt his actions are getting the same publicity as Hawkeye... plus Grills clearly didn't know that the suit was the Ronin suit, calling it a "ninja" suit. So I don't know why you think he's trying to copy him. Also, the samurai were not wiped out by the Tokugawa Shogunate. Up to 5 percent of the Japanese citizenry were samurai until the structure was dissolved by the Meiji Restoration. And when I referred to "living samurai" I was referring to it as an inherited culture, not samurai in the strict legal sense recognized by the Japanese government... I mean people who keep the culture of their actual ancestors alive by maintaining similar practices and ideologies. The prevalence of sports like kendo and the importance of bushido as recently as WWII shows that the spirit of the samurai is still very much present in the Japanese conscience and is exported internationally. Chiburi is one of the most iconic imagery associated with katanas. It's not a stretch at all to say the inspiration comes from that association, as opposed to a vigilante that is relatively unknown to the general public.

Fun fact: The kid who plays Nate in this episode played the little kid Beau in A Quiet Place (the one who died at the beginning). Clint Farm it’s most likely in Iowa. As it is referenced in the comics “The Barton Family Farm” is in Iowa. The Hawkeye state.

I don't know. Imo, just watching the pilot and the 2nd episode, it feels kinda forced and it was a disappointing storyline. They're making Hawkeye "look more human". Marvel seems to be nerfing characters lately like Black Widow, Winter Soldier, Hawkeye, etc. The writing has changed since Stan Lee has passed and honestly Shang-Chi was a million times way better than these 2 episodes and probably better than the entire series if it continues like this.
