I have a similar setup.... The super cruise do not have the limitations that you mentioned. I just completed a 7 hour drive with it on. I only had to interact with the controls when mapping wasn't available. It's an awesome feature for long drives. I believe that you are getting it confused with the lane-assist feature.

I agree the price was high, I’m going to stick with my suv and call it a day. They are great trucks but for what I need it’s too much. Thanks James I was at BMW today they had some 25 models which I will bring very soon.

I know this video is more about technology than performance, however my 2020 AT4 will smoke that truck and anything else on the lot. The performance package was available at that time and I had it installed new in Springfield Missouri when I bought it new. When that 6.2 motor is allowed to breath like it's supposed to, it gets busy.
