I recently purchased the SE, and it feels incredible. Initially, I had a 2020 Toyota Corolla, which I absolutely detested compared to my 2015 Camry. It took an eternity to accelerate, and cars would often overtake me at red lights, circling me. Additionally, it would often start slowly when making turns. The radio was terrible, so I had to spend an extra $1,000 on a better one for long trips. In contrast, the 2025 SE eliminates all these issues. The power in this car is amazing, and it’s incredibly quiet in electric mode. I genuinely enjoy driving it, which is a feeling I haven’t experienced in a long time.

The e cvt transmission is a marble of engineering and its probably the most reliable transmission from the world, so don't be scared when hearing the name e CVT in toyota hybrids
@HawkeyeRides8 ай бұрын
I will never buy another cvt or ecvt myself as you still need to service them more than a normal transmission, the life is never as good and the cost to repair is 2 times more to repair which you get a refurbished one or new one only as no one will fix them. As most new buyers will probably never keep the vehicle this long but the second or third buyer will and for it to last service is due every 30k where a traditional transmission is 50k and the life of a cvt / ectv is around 90-150k opposed to 150-250k 👍
@richsarchet97624 ай бұрын
You need to look into the difference... everything you said is true for CVT but false for eCVT, which is electric motors and planetary gears mimicking a CVT...simpler and more durable than a conventional automatic.
@benaiahreid32913 ай бұрын
@HawkeyeRides do you know how ecvt's work? It has nothing to do with a cvt even though it's in the name. The ecvt is probably going to be the most reliable transmission ever made.

We own 2 eCVT They are not belt and pulley garbage like Nissan. These transmissions are built with planetary gears. KZbin has great videos by a Weber State professor tearing down the transmission. After you understand how they are built you will have zero concerns and in my opinion after driving one for 4 years they are superior to the constantly shifting 8 speed Toyota transmission.
@HawkeyeRides7 ай бұрын
@@rncondie I have explained it in near full detail in another comment. But here it is: It’s a ecvt which is different from a cvt but service is still required about 10k quicker than a traditional transmission like a 6 or 8 speed with gears. The ecvt is better than a cvt as the cvt uses a pulley system with cones connected by belts to change gear ratio. Which requires service around 20-30k. The ecvt is different as it uses a planetary gears instead of a drive belt and conical pulley arrangement and uses different input to get the most efficient gear ratio. But if they go bad, it’s expensive to fix as they sell you a new one or refurbished one. With a normal transmission you can fix the gears or internal problems (rebuild) so it cost less and is known to get a longer life. The ecvt is a lot better than a cvt but not as strong as a zf transmission which is know for 250k plus miles and service every 50/60k miles. Thanks for sharing your ownership insight 👍

No matter what brand or model of vehicle, never choose the bottom trim. This is true with the Toyota models as the Camry LE is 100 percent garbage. For a few $100 to $1k more, you can get a much better vehicle such as the SE and XSE. Skip both the LE and XLE. If you can afford it, the best deal is the Top of the Line Trim level. Now that the 9th Gen. 2025 Camry Hybrid is here, it is the most pathetic design inside and outside that Toyota has ever done with a Camry. It is super ugly. I also despise all Hybrids and EVs. The only 2 positive perspectives of the 2025 Camry Hybrid it does provide you with a Fully Digital Instrument Cluster Display and Toyota Safety Sense 3.0. Bottom line, I would never purchase the 2025 Toyota Camry Hybrid or any Toyota Crown the Clown.
@HawkeyeRides6 ай бұрын
Normally I would say the same but because the new Camry is all hybrid it doesn’t really matter the trim unless you want the upgraded features and a sport tuned suspension. If I was buying a hybrid I would go as less as possible as the Camry doesn’t change any performance and if you go se you can add features which will be more than enough for a 30ish grand vehicle.
@blobplays92086 ай бұрын
Most reviewers and the mass Public wouldn't agree with almost every reviewer has praised the value redesign and looks of the new camry also the jump from le to se is 2300 witch is significant for most people and evey trim jump is about 2k also most people have no problem with hybrids if there reliable as for evs yeah I hate them to but hybrid alows for 50mpg witch is one of the most important factors for a daily driver witch the camry is you want a fun car buy a car meant for that like a supra or mustang or a gr corolla or supra
