I had a 2013 Toyota Camry LE as a daily driver, and I loved it. It was great on gas, fun to drive, great on the freeway or in town driving. It's 16 inch tires are full of air and you'll notice a smother ride as compared to thin 19 or 20 inch tires which you'll feel every rut and pothole on the road and are more expensive to replace. The 16 inch tires are inexpensive to replace, and so are the light bulbs. This car is perfect for most people who go to and from work everyday, run errands, weekend trips this Camry LE is your little work hose. It's a nice looking car and I'd buy one if I didn't own a Toyota Tacoma right now. You can't beat it.

There's only a couple of reasons that hybrid is not a good option. Only one long-term. There's technically less repairs needed, but the repairs that do need to be done cost more. If the vehicle will sit for extended periods of time like weeks to months and if you have a heavy foot you won't see the mpg that's listed.

I explain this in the drive part of the review and it’s very close with driving aspects. Both are smooth but any vehicle with larger wheel will feel a little more on the ride but ever with a sport suspension it’s close.

The 2025 Camry LE tires are 205/65 16. The SE tires are 235/40 18. Eve though the tire tread on the SE is wider by.79 inches, the Camry LE sidewalls are greater by 1.1 inch compared to the SE. That will give more flexibility over potholes and probably less likely tire/rim damage.

We own 2 eCVT They are not belt and pulley garbage like Nissan. These transmissions are built with planetary gears. KZbin has great videos by a Weber State professor tearing down the transmission. After you understand how they are built you will have zero concerns and in my opinion after driving one for 4 years they are superior to the constantly shifting 8 speed Toyota transmission.
@HawkeyeRides
@HawkeyeRides 26 күн бұрын
@@rncondie I have explained it in near full detail in another comment. But here it is: It’s a ecvt which is different from a cvt but service is still required about 10k quicker than a traditional transmission like a 6 or 8 speed with gears. The ecvt is better than a cvt as the cvt uses a pulley system with cones connected by belts to change gear ratio. Which requires service around 20-30k. The ecvt is different as it uses a planetary gears instead of a drive belt and conical pulley arrangement and uses different input to get the most efficient gear ratio. But if they go bad, it’s expensive to fix as they sell you a new one or refurbished one. With a normal transmission you can fix the gears or internal problems (rebuild) so it cost less and is known to get a longer life. The ecvt is a lot better than a cvt but not as strong as a zf transmission which is know for 250k plus miles and service every 50/60k miles. Thanks for sharing your ownership insight 👍

As a Camry lover, this redesign is unappealing. Black best fits it.

I’m sure the dealerships would do it or just go to a aftermarket shop

Camry's are the best . Two problems for me - they drive and handle like your grandfathers Buick, step up to the SE and they ride too hard ( not so with Honda Accord ) - and the absolutely horrible grille design

The e cvt transmission is a marble of engineering and its probably the most reliable transmission from the world, so don't be scared when hearing the name e CVT in toyota hybrids

I will never buy another cvt or ecvt myself as you still need to service them more than a normal transmission, the life is never as good and the cost to repair is 2 times more to repair which you get a refurbished one or new one only as no one will fix them. As most new buyers will probably never keep the vehicle this long but the second or third buyer will and for it to last service is due every 30k where a traditional transmission is 50k and the life of a cvt / ectv is around 90-150k opposed to 150-250k 👍
