Knees bent, back straight, that’s the way to go. Mate at 55 and after 25 years of building/fencing I know you WILL regret not doing so, I promise you. This is a job you love, I had to leave mine because I did not heed that little saying.

I try to heed this advice!! I expect I wont be far behind you however- my knees aren’t the best these days thats for sure😂 Thanks for watching and commenting! Best, Ed

Lime mortar with stonework.
@CrystalClearAquatics Жыл бұрын
Hi there- thanks for your comment and my apologies for the sow response- absolutely the correct advice- lime mortar for natural stone, or old brickwork. However used like this to build ponds, where the stone is already in a wet environment there’s no benefit to using more traditional methods- cement based mortar is just fine! Thanks very much, Ed

Hi there. Can you use the expanding foam between the liner and the patio stones around the pond to enable the pond water lever to be higher? Thanks
@CrystalClearAquatics2 жыл бұрын
Hi Mark, the expanding foam is simply a way to fix and hold materials, such as stone/rock. It’s not water proof and as such couldn’t be used in such a way. Best, Ed
@terryknowles1 Жыл бұрын
Where can I get the cans of foam you use as My local Maidenhead aquatics only have small cans
@CrystalClearAquatics Жыл бұрын
Hi there, I believe Oase foam fix only comes in one size cans… a quick search online throws up lots of option to purchase so you shouldn’t have any issues sourcing some. Thanks for watching and commenting! Best, Ed

why is there a floating white sheet in there? :) Great video and I'm not suffering pond envy at all :)

Ha Ha! It did look odd on the time lapse spinning around the pond! Just a piece of pond fleece id used to stand on and protect the pond liner.

What kind of work do you do in the winter?
@CrystalClearAquatics11 ай бұрын
Very little if I can help it! It’s gets rather cold wading around ponds during the winter months- work doesn’t stop completely but its def more on a part time basis during January and February! Best, Ed

where is the best place to buy the Oase foam from? UK please? Great video's. :)

Hi there Paul, it’s expensive stuff isn’t it?!! I use for the bulk of my supplies Oasis water gardening products, but they are a trade seller only....I’d say Google is your friend here and search online for the best deals. If you’re local to me I can supply if required. Best, Ed

@@CrystalClearAquatics After watching many of your vids, I realised I didn't require so much stone as the outer shelf was cut on a slope, so stacking the stone uses a whole lot less. There was a few other bits of info that I realised was simpler and much cheaper. Btw, totally in love with the pond in your own garden. I've stolen the design for my own. Imitation being the most sincere form of flattery lol

@@bettyboohadapoo ah glad you like my own pond- I still haven’t completed all of it yet but will do so later this spring! You’ll have to email me pics of your finished pond when you’ve done it! Info@crystalclearaquatics.co.uk
