Ahhh your furrbaby burying her food, she’s adorable! ❤🐾. Loved that fluffy cuddle puddle of heads! So cutie patooties! That was sweet of house chicken to fix your wheelbarrow! 😊. Great job!

They all look so fluffy with their winter coats. How awesome is nature to provide those oh so cuddly and warm coats for animals. They look extra adorable and chunky. ❤️

Awe so sorry about the baby chicks. Hawks are bad about that. Lester's dad only gets black chicks so the hawks won't try to capture them. Got that wheelbarrow fixed yay!!! Your husky is so silly hiding her food & she tipped the bowl & all came out. Awe Ms. Cookie & Sugarpie are friends love it. You have good rest of your evening & see you on next one!!!😊😊😊😊

My dad's dog buries his food and moves his full bowl to where he wants to eat. Sorry about the chicks. Crows, i believe, will keep hawks away from their domain. Feed the crows, it might help. They also have great memories. *great job fixing your wheelbarrow! 🎉

A hawk took off with our house chicken this year, it was silent and fast. I'm so sorry for those babies. Mine are under netting now , I figured now that the hawk knows where there is a food source, it will be back.

I know there is something so satisfying about repairing things on your own. That sense of accomplishment knowing you won but how many times did you think screw this I’m buying a new wheelbarrow? 😂 I would have given up after part 2. Way to hang in there Shawn. So sorry about your chicks. That whole circle of life thing sucks. I also want to say how awesome the thumb nails picks are lately. They remind me of Norman Rockwell pictures. Be safe ❤😊❤

I laughed about your dog burying her food. We had our husky who would hid/bury his treat under his bed for later. Well I didn’t know this and one day I went to gather up all dog beds so I could strip them and throw the covers in the wash and I found the stash😂. He came running because our bulldog was also there and he saw them too and he pounced on them. He NEVER saves anything and I don’t think he barely tastes his food. We have to pace him or he will bloat. To this day the bulldog will go in and toss the bed to check if he is hiding treats in there. He has now moved his hiding spot to my son’s bed…who he sleeps with sometimes..my son will wake up sometimes to find a treat under his pillow or in the blankets. 😂. Our bulldog has not found this out.

I'm so sorry about the chicks. It's so heartbreaking and for you to have witnessed it, must make even more heartbreaking. I just commented how wonderful nature was regarding the goats having warm winter coats. I have to say, I hate this part of nature when it comes to people's pets.

I am so sorry about your baby checks, Shawn. 😊it’s been fun watching all the little darlings. It still looks quite cold outside there. It was funny and cute what your doggie does with his food - hiding it for later should he want a snack. Your wheel barrel is looking repaired. Good job❤️❤️👍. Take care and stay warm. ❤️❤️🥰👍

I think burying their food is a Huskey thing. Mine used to do the same thing. Sorry for the loss of the chicks. Hard when it is a hawk to do anything about it.

I lost 10 of my babies to a hawk last month, I have 2 left. It is heartbreaking and frustrating because there is nothing we can do about it except by putting them in a completely enclosed space. My Roo would hate it and freak out if I did that. I have a hard enough time keeping him in the pen. Thank you for the Olight videos, I just got the Perun 3 headlamp and love it!! I wanted the Perun 2 but they were sold out. I bought for going out to put the chickens away now that it's dark by 6.

Yay "new" wheelbarrow! Hi, House Chicken! I am sad about the chicks. Hawks are such a menace, I hope you can figure out a solution to keep them from picking off the whole flock :( Pyshka (sp?) was cracking me up with hiding her food!!
@melanielexa888512 күн бұрын
Your dog needs a snuffle rug feeder. It has a long “shag” cloth surface that lets you bury his food in the shag so the dog can sniff it out to eat. Maybe he likes hunting for it as much as burying it. lol Then he might find the food and go bury it again.

Hi Shawn. I'm so sorry about the baby chickens. That really sucks. That's when you want a murder of crows hanging around. Your husky is so cute. I guess her leg is doing alot better. I'm glad to hear the count of goats coming into heat is going up. Drumy has to be in heat to be arguing with Cookie. Everyone looks so fuzzy wuzzy. Great job on the wheelbarrow. Ya'll take care. Hugs to all.

Have you tried a few wind spinners? You have a bit of wind across large spans of land and they should really keep the hawks a little cautious about coming down anywhere around them. Just put wind spinners in a search engine, they make all kinds and to a bird, I would think they would find it a little scary, especially if you get a few, and change them out to different types every so often to keep them off their feet. So sorry about those babies, but like you said, it is part of having a farm. They are cheap enough and high enough that the chickens can't really knock them over. I wish I could get some, but my house is almost on the street as most of Long Island west is, and people steal these things. Anyway, they are not super expensive and they are beautiful to watch, almost mesmerizing.
