Aww thanks:) I feel like most Hawks fanfics write him off as a narcissistic flirty playboy, but in cannon he just uses that vibe as a cover so people won't suspect that he thinks in long term goals or that he's in intelligence warfare. Anyways, it was fun to write a fic that showed those layers of his personality. :) I'm kinda excited to write the Shigaraki story I have planned bc I'm not a Shigaraki fan (and I generally just don't like villains) but the challenge of making the character feel real/true to their cannon vibe while also spinning them as having goodness/ a better character arc sounds like an exhilarating challenge!

Hey Anya!!! 💖💖💖 I 🥰🥰🥰 this story it's really cute & sweet.💕💕💕 Hawks is one of my favorite heroes and I know you said months ago that you would probably be working on a Hawks story so I'm glad that you were able to do so.😎😎😎 When I first saw the artwork of Kasey & Hawks I thought it was done really well G.Mark does great work as do you but I have to say when I saw the aerial pic of her being rescued by Hawks I thought she looked liked katara and if there was more definition to katara like her hair then yeah I would really see it but I did think I was seeing things when I first peeped it tho.🤣🤣🤣 I read both parts and since you dropped both quite quickly I just decided to comment after I listened to both parts since this was going to be a short story. 😊😊😊 I liked how ken picked up on the new guy's vibe quite quickly and didn't let up on him that's gut instincts if I ever saw em'. 😏😏😏 Kasey's cousin would've flipped if she knew Hawks was actually dating her cuzzo. 🤣🤣🤣 Just seeing her reaction to the news would've been awesome to draw. 😂😂😂 I'm gald that even tho things turned out deadly Kasey still wanted to help the sister in the hospital knowing that was the only reason why karuo? did what he did as if he had no choice cuz such a huge payday would insure his sister's continued care even tho it's no way an excuse it just shows the lengths someone would go to save the ones they love and care for. 😔😔😔 Kasey's standoffish attitude towards things in general much less Hawks was understandable in the beginning considering what was revealed as the story progressed that her fiends...I mean "friends" in high school only liked, appreciated her when she was acting fake and once she started revealing who she truly was they couldn't measure up it had nothing to do with Kasey but everything to do with them and when they "dumped" her it was the best thing to happen to her cuz it showed her who they truly were too and that she didn't have to continue to constantly carry the burden of putting on a mask that was cracking at the seams anyway. 😏😏😏 Hawks knew and understood this well considering that was a majority of the pro hero population minus all might, dadzawa and the instructors at UA which is why he said to her about not liking her "friends" vary much considering he too has to do similar things to conduct his hero work and he's not quite a fan of working for the hero commission even tho he knows to achieve the world he envisions he has to continue working there knowing he feels trapped there like a bird in a cage and when heroes finally are able to get more free time he'll have his freedom. 🕊🕊🕊 I also liked how Kasey tried to act like she didn't like Hawks just cuz she wasn't fan-girling out like her cousin would've. 😏😏😏 Try as she might she failed but she got to see other sides to hawks that he rarely shows, he would've never just given his government issued name so freely like that or told her crime spots to watch for no matter how obvious or common sense they were to avoid. 😏😏😏 It meant that he was getting serious about her imo anyway. 😏😏😏 I liked how hawks gave her his feather to communicate with similar to a beeper or peeper (cuz he could speak in & peep in on her...lame joke I know.) 🤣🤣🤣 I like Kasey's qurik and I understand why she didn't like using it cuz it reminded her of the mask she put on to fit in but it's a really valuable ability and I liked that she stopped to help the elderly lady get her purse back even tho she didn't want to cuz it required her to use her quirk not cuz she didn't want to help her. 😌😌😌 Hawks comes off as chauvinistic but he's a really deep down to earth guy with alot of sides to him the average person wouldn't even realize unless they knew what to look for and him being fine as all get out doesn't hurt either. 😉😉😉 I'm also impressed that Kasey figured out why Mr. Takanaka? had been coming to the restaurant so frequently and realized that the time description matched that of kaouro's? time working at a tavern prior to working at towers and that Mr. Takanaka had something to do with his hiring and that he was the same guy that followed her to kikio's for her "meeting" with Hawks. 😏😏😏 He must of got suspicious when he saw her with Hawks since he's a pro hero and he too (Hawks) also dines at towers. 🤔🤔🤔 Even tho she was overwhelmed she did good against the older man when she found her protégé sprinkling a powdery substance over food dishes and the fact that even tho at that moment she thought that was it for her she kept them talking till Hawks showed up after she'd called his hero name & actual name which I caught but I doubt the pair trying to subdue & kill her did tho. 😏😏😏 The kind of man that can jump from a window to save me even tho he was hit with a poison dart is definitely the man for me (nevermind the fact that said man has actual wings😏😏😏) but nevertheless we'd still be walking down the aisle in holy or unholy matrimony after that sorry not sorry. 😏😏😏 Working with said man at the hero commission is just as good as far as Kasey's concerned tho and the fact that after all that happened, the fact that she used her quirk on her own (and not cuz she was told too😏😏😏) got her to realize how good she was using it, how many people could be saved with it and realizing that her and Hawks make a great team after all. 😏😏😏 Even tho he was against it at first (enough to get out of a hospital bed with broken ribs he brushed off as nothing 😏😏😏) he still ended up accepting her decision and began training her considering she wasn't going to stop (dating him 😏😏😏) just because of some enemy's he'd made being (the most annoying hero in existence or something to that effect 😏😏😏) especially not after all that happened. 😏😏😏 Well it ended on a cute note and I simply 💖💖💖ed it. 🥰🥰🥰 I enjoyed listening to you read your story anya and also enjoyed the fanart done by G.Mark and yourself for this story. 😊😊😊 I'll be patiently waiting for more stories like this while I wait for irrational problem child to be finished. 🥰🥰🥰 The song I thought of when Hawks said he felt like a bird in a cage working for the hero commission was Middle Finger by Bohnes I have it on my playlist and it fits Hawks personality and dilemma so perfectly imo.🥰🥰🥰 I like how you have different themed music and pics to describe what's going on and even tho it's not constantly tru out the entire story cuz of it's shortness I still enjoyed it and gave me an idea of what was happening and where it was happening at and so on. 😊😊😊 G.Mark did a great job on Hawks design it made him pop out more and gave him more definition imo anyway. 😏😏😏 Well that's enough fan-fairing for now I wanted to make up for not writing anything for the first part and for being a bit late in responseing since I usually respond immediately after I finished listening to you but I wanted to tell you how much I 💖💖💖ed your story all the same. 🥰🥰🥰 I hope you're enjoying your week and I can't wait till you post another one of your stories I know you work really hard on them on top of other obligations so I also hope you're getting enough rest and relaxation in between getting things done too.😊😊😊 There's no rush for getting your storywork posted as far as I'm concerned so whenever you need to take a break go ahead and take it you definitely deserve it anyway imo. 😊😊😊 Well I hope you have a great rest of your day and I'll catch ya later Anya. 😊😊😊 Ja Ne. ☺☺☺

Latoya Gupton!! Your comment was worth the wait. :) I read it twice- once earlier and once just now. Still there's so much I could respond to (I might not remember everything) but I enjoyed reading your thoughts on it all. :) It's so satisfying reading your analysis/ review. Really, I don't know what I did to deserve such a great subscriber :) but I'm grateful because getting to read reactions and thoughts like this makes writing and sharing so fun!!! Your character analysis were spot on. Very close to my own thoughts, although I never explicitly said how I wanted their characters to come across, so that was satisfying. Hawks really is great. When he first appeared I thought he was simple (lots of ego, flashy) but it quickly became clear that everything he does is a bit more thought-out than he wants people to realize. He always says "I just have no self control," which is a total lie, he's fully able to act a part or do whatever he needs to do to reach his goals. But he wants people to underestimate him as a flambouyant fool so they won't think too hard about the purpose behind all his seemingly chaotic actions. I plan to write more Hawks stories in the future. Writing this one made me think of more ideas for Hawks stories. One idea is that the listener grew up with Hawks and Dabi- I feel like that would be fun to write. Who are your favorite characters, Latoya? And how would you rank them? (top three favorites in order maybe). I'll tell you mine if you tell me yours. :) Although you might be able to guess (see if you can). Also, I've written the next two and half chapters of the Aizawa Eiko story but I'm firmly resolved not to share any more of it until I finish writing the entire series because there are a lot of details to wrap up. I don't want to get to one part and go "darn, I forgot to foreshadow this, but the past chapters are already uploaded so I can't make changes." But when I do finish, everything will fit together beautifully. :)

@@anya.k Thanks Anya!!!😊😊😊 That means alot coming from you 🥰🥰🥰 I just figured that it was something like that as far as the character's direction was going considering that it could've been a friend basis only but having that relationship doesn't automatically garentee someone's going to tell you personal things about themselves especially with the kind of work Hawks does.😏😏😏 It's more covert than most pro heroes like underground pro heroes for example (Dadzawa 😏😏😏) that and the fact most of Hawks missions require no witnesses if you know what I mean 🤐🤐🤐 so him telling a person he barely knew (other than that they shaped shift and work as a waitress at a high end restaurant 😏😏😏) his government issued name or heavily patrolled spots definitely wouldn't be something he'd just decide to spit out willy-nilly unless he wanted to get her and himself killed much less anyone else (like her cousin 😏😏😏) so I figured this was definitely going into some kind of direction that's not a "let's just be friends" direction after that especially since his decision on weather to tell her or not took only 3 seconds for him to conclude. 😏😏😏 Nevermind he gave her his gov't name first without any prior thought at all so every other decision after that would flow out faster then birds can fly and heads can roll (considering he's known to do both in rapid succession 😏😏😏) A lot of common sense things one would know not to say that would've gotten anyone else killed or in witness protection for the rest of their lives( in which he'd be carrying said duty out since he's the one to blab them in the first place 😏😏😏)were revealed so everything after that was purely guesses but I'm gald that you were surprised I knew were it was going without explicit details given beforehand.😊😊😊 I'm by no means a mind reader but I've been pretty good at the prognostication of some things. 😊😊😊 I'm truly humbled that you read my comment twice I honestly never had someone do that to me before so it does really mean a lot to me. 🥰🥰🥰 Now for who you're big 3 are in MHA...I'll take a wild guess and say you're first would be...Hawks...second would be...Aizawa...then three is the charm would be...Shinzou 😜😜😜 My big 3 is 1. @@kimaravonnoose11 Aww thanks :) I don't know what to say (I'm not great at accepting compliments/ don't know what to do with myself haha) but reading that makes me smile. :) Pretty decent guesses! Not correct, but I can see why (based on my channel vids) people would think that. :) Here's my top three favorites: 1) Aizawa 2) Shinsou 3) Tamaki Amajiki The last one is probably a surprise. I only have like one vid on him. But he's one of the ones I where I get really excited when he comes on screen, and love every second of it. Tamaki is hilarious. He does what every introvert wishes they could do (just announces "I want to go home") but doesn't do because it wouldn't be socially proper. I guess I relate haha. I think most people have an inner Tamaki, and seeing the inner dialogue so openly declared is comedic. Also he's adorable and a cool hero. First is definitely Aizawa. Out of all the characters, he's the one I find the most inspiring. He was my # fav from the time I saw him save Asui and realized that he is totally and completely focused on helping others no matter what his circumstances are. It left an impression on me. He didn't care about being number one. He didn't care, even, if the people he saved liked him. He just cared about people's well-being, and thinks his own well-being is irrelevant. I also admire his extreme self-control. If it's rational, he does it. If it's not, he doesn't. No consideration for weak will or what he feels like doing. He's entirely focused on the long-term rather than short term comfort. That's something I'm trying to incorporate into my own life. i want to act more rationally, instead of acting based on what I feel like doing at any given moment. Even though Aizawa is a fictional character, the way he acts has conveyed truths to me about who I want to become and why. Second is Shinsou. Various reasons. He's just COOL. Also the cliche plot would be "powerful student is rejected from hero course, becomes bitter, and turns to villainy," but Shinsou totally goes against that stereotypical plot, showing his inherent sense of honor. His sense of self is greater than his frustration, or the pressure of how other people view him. He's cool for that reason alone. Honorable mentions would be Hawks (for all the reasons discussed previously in comments) and Endeavor (I'm a sucker for redemption arcs). That's super cool that Mirko made your list! She is awesome!!!! I love that she's totally buff instead of just looking like a typical anime girl, and she has a strong personality to match. I honestly wish there were more characters like her in Shounen. :)

Hi System Crash! Thank you:) I've very flattered that you like one of my OCs so much. Here are more details about Riku, since you asked: -Auburn hair and eyes (google auburn for good color examples, basically a brown with a hint of red, it's gogreous). -Slightly wavy hair. Like just enough to have some random curling stands. He has that messy-hair look that youtuber boys and boyband boys try to get with hair gel. Not spiked up, just swooshed around. Bangs. Probably most of his hair is 2-3 inches long. -Face: very expressive, he's easy to read, sort of innocent vibe but really good-looking. -Lanky, tallish Teenaged (probably about 16 or 17) -Backstory: So how did this good looking teenager end up with shy mannerisms, a silver tongue that can charm people, and a resolve to work as an assassin? In his early years, Riku was very close to his younger sister. He had social anxiety, and a lot of the guys were jealous of his good looks, so he had a hard time and no friends. His sister was the only one he was close to. She was only two years younger, and he could talk freely with her, unlike when he was around other people and found himself unable to say more than a few words. She always cheered him up. Then, one day, she started getting really sick. Their parents thought it was nothing. After a day of her not eating anything, Riku plucked up the courage to ask his parents to have a doctor check her up just in case it was more than a mere stomach flu. They put it off, thinking she'd be fine, but after almost three days of his sister not being able to eat anything, and slipping into delerium, they gave in and took her to a hospital. The hospital didn't know what was wrong. As her condition worsened, they decided to fly her to an even bigger hospital with better equipment. Soon word came to the family that she was stabilized. The problem had been the late arrival of her quirk. They'd assumed she was quirkless when she'd shown no signs by the age of six, but it turned out that she had the ability to make some parts of her body insubstantial (like Mirio). Unfortunately she could only do parts of her body that she had no conscious control over (such as her stomach, veins, etc) meaning that her internal organs couldn't keep their contents properly. She couldn't eat, and her liver was failing, and she'd been experiencing major internal bleeding. They were administering quirk supressents to her. Combined with the equipment and care of the hospital setting, the doctors could keep her alive. But she would need quirk supressents for the rest of her life, and it was extremely pricey. Riku didn't have great parents. They were extremely stressed by the situation (understandably) and the huge initial bill. After they had a big fight about it (which Riku endured by covering his ears, curling up in a ball, and feeling frustrated by their lack of determination to help his sister), his dad left (abandoning them) and a few days later his mom overdosed and died. Riku, at the time only two years younger than in this story, didn't give up. Pushing past his social anxiety, he first figured out his family's finances and took control of all that his mom had left in her will. He could see that it was going to run out very soon, so he went to different banks to see if they'd let him borrow money for his sister's medical bills. None of them would. He was too young. Riku broke down, outside the bank that had been his last option. He fell to his knees and cried loudly. Something snapped. He didn't care if people could see him crying. Nothing mattered- no one's perception of him mattered- if he lost his sister. His social anxiety was instantly banished (not in the most healthy way). One particular passerby was intrigued by the raw frustration in the boy's sobs, as well as the boy's good looks. He laid a hand on the boys shoulder. Riku looked up to see dark eyes and ash blonde hair as the man looked down on him nonjudgmentally.

Part 2 of my reply/ Riku's backstory The man was, of course, the leader of the assassination organization. After hearing Riku's story, and seeing how the boy had snapped, he decided to take him in and mentor him. He promised Riku enough money to take care of his sister, if he could do what he was asked to. Riku promised, without hesitation, to do anything if it would pay for his sister's bills. Riku had already possessed an unnatural view of people. Because of how he'd been treated by everyone else, the only person he truly viewed as a person was his sister. Rather than helping Riku to overcome that, the leader (who went by many names, so we'll just refer to him by one of his aliases: Mr. Tanaka) made an effort to strengthen Riku's mental wall that kept him from seeing people as people. Through a series of challenges and tests, he gradually trained Riku to perform well in social settings. The boy developed a quick wit in his words, and a knack reading people and saying what they wanted to hear. The only remnant of his social anxiety was the shy quality to his smile, which only made him more charming. Although people thought they could read him at a glance with his expressive face, shy smile, and playful friendlliness, they didn't know that he was hiding a world of pain. Every week, he takes a long train ride to visit his sister. To the heroes, he is a villain. but to her, he is a hero.
