This is the second time we've used these steps. Very nice.
The steps can be put into place quicker than seen here.
Approximately 30 seconds I'd say??
Once in place, make sure to have the steps level to the ground, otherwise you get the bouncy effect I have here.
I have added another video to show that adjusting the lower leg supports will create a bouncless step.
Thank you RV-Co for a wonderful product.
I plan to have these for a long time.
Well built, great construction and great quality.
Let me know if you have any questions on these steps.

Awesome step improvement! I’ve been thinking about replacing my floating stairs in my Winnebago. This would be an attractive alternative.

We bought this spring and requested to be delivered right before Memorial Day. They delivered as promised. We got the 48” platform with the 4 steps. I ordered extra rail for steps and it is wonderful having both rails for us older and heavier people. Gary and staff was wonderful to work with. I highly recommend them.

I love this idea. I have a grandmother that's 81 that just moved in with my wife and I. He has MS and copd. My mother also has MS and is in a nursing home. We have a 26' travel trailer that I wish I could use with them. They are way over any budget I have however something to set a goal for. Great video.

These are excellent! Love the 20" deep landing to open the door without falling back off the stairs. Small add-ons or modifications to improve sound and reduce movement is to get a rubber tread pad or one of those rv stair carpet pads for under the landing where it rests on the RV step. Then use a C clamp to keep it from shift. But remember this is EXTREMELY LIGHTWEIGHT ALUMINUM so DON'T go clamping it down too hard. Use some dimensional lumber to keep from literally tearing through the aluminum as you clamp it down. Remember this is a first generation model from one guy in a shop. Not a company like MORryde with millions to spend on R&D and product redesigns annually. This is another reason to support this one man making our lives a little more comfortable one step at a time! Either way this is great. After injuring my spine I require a cane to walk. I'm blessed. I can walk again unlike most who suffer serious spinal injuries. Anywhooters, being able to switch the hand rail to the right side, allows me to keep the cane in the left hand while utilizing the hand rail for further support and lift. I like the new MORryde solid stairs that flip down. But they still lack a handrail. More importantly a handrail that can mount on the left or right. Thank you for sharing this great product. Happy Holidays! Cheers from Seattle. Cameron

He Cameron... One thing I'd like to say about the new flip down steps.... they works great... AS LONG as you have enough space to allow them to flip down. Not only that, they are permanently mounted to the camper. So if you have a tree in the way you ain't getting in.. Also.. if you store your camper in storage area that only gives you 2' from another camper.. you wont be getting into your camper if you forgot anything.. keep that in mind and tell your friends to watch out for that... As for an upgrade to my steps.. which I should do another video on... There is a bar on that goes from side to side. I drilled a hole and tapped it. Then put a bolt in it with lock-tite on it. I then drilled holes in the top step, actually I just figured where the slots were already cut in the step, the positioned the bolts to line up at the outside edge, then filed a round hole there. When I put the steps into place, I just slide it back and forth about an 1/8" and the bolts fall into place and the step doesn't move until "I" take them down... Very slick if I say so myself. Took me longer to figure it out than to physically do the work... Have a Merry Christmas Cameron and take care of your back, I know I don't show it, but my L4-5 are sitting on top of each other and I know exactly what pain is... Happy Holidays!!!

@@hawkskyflier Great info. Thank you. You should be a great candidate to have an artificial disc implant between L4-5. My brother in law had two discs replaced. He's back to living life again. No limitations, medications, or anything. Just a little 1/2 inch scar. He is seriously back to his old life. Skiing, climbing, sailing, racing, motorcycle racing, running,.... All the activities he enjoyed before his injury. Truly life changing for him and others who are able to have this surgery. And with disc replacement rather than spinal fusion, he will not require additional surgeries every 5-10 years. Cheers!

Thank you for the post! It's very helpful. I'm looking on their web and a little bit confused about which one to get. I like what you have. Is that the 3 steps + 1?
@hawkskyflier
@hawkskyflier 7 жыл бұрын
Hi Catherine, sorry about the late reply. I have the 3 step. The top is a 24X24 platform and does not count as a step. Hope this helps

Catherine Berou...With all due respect, per RV-CO's web site, the platform does count as a step. So what Skyflier has is the 4 step model.

Question. I noticed you put the deck on the second step? When I look at the pricing section they have a 4 step plus the deck step for most 5th wheels. Are you using the second step because you can get by with the shorter one?
@hawkskyflier
@hawkskyflier 9 жыл бұрын
+peteandjennymom, hey thanks for the note. Actually, I use this every time, except this time i have to use the second because of the ground... you can't see it, but the ground takes a dive right where the step sits, so had to use the second step. The noise when I bounced is from the bottom step on the camper step... watch that and you'll see... Hope this helps.. VERY nice steps too..

why did you not use the top step????
@hawkskyflier
@hawkskyflier 6 жыл бұрын
Hi GD Hall, Depending on the ground sometimes the steps aren't tall enough to allow me to use the top step. Last summer I purchased a folding single step from RV Show in Green Bay, Wi. I can now use the top step and then if needed I have the single step that I can use for another on the bottom. It works out very well. Thanks for the reply
