Good read about Tower Theatre & all the music. HAWkWiNd + MAN this day… Soft Machine the day after, Nektar, Caravan, Zappa the days before… Though only a small, 3,000 capacity, Rolling Stone says it was one of Americas best live venues…

Lovely to hear this. It's a shame that the guitars seem to drown out all synths. I have no idea if it was recorded close to the guitar and/or bass speakers, or the synths were generally not heard very well. I wasn't alive back then to hear any of this in person.
