Despite Ginger not gelling too well with the band and leaving after this outing, an amazing album was born, unlike any other Hawkwind album or sound. Ginger's drumming was nuts, brilliant.

Baker was a real money grub... he even tried to steat the name away from Brock and toured Italy as Hawkwind.... a real turd in my books.... He told Harvey Bainbridge he sucked as a bass player and while he's no Jack Bruce he holds his own perfectly well... I reckon I would of knocked the prick out if he'd have come at me....

Love this album so much. Killer playing by the whole band. Huw is an underrated guitarist. His solos & tone on this album are amazing.

They shouldn't have deleted Simon Kings drumming. Far better for that Hawkwind sound than Baker.

I'm so happy that I got to praise Huws distinctive playing and recognisable tone in person. Such a lovely and humble chap. Marion is a lovely lady too. Dust of time caught in your eye!!! ❤❤❤❤

It's wonderful to see Huw's nimble fingers on the Les Paul guitar for this wonderful piece and also Harvey who likes a bit like a cross between Robert Plant and Jimmy Page, I think.

i dont think this is live though ,sounds staight off the album.

I NEVER even suggested Ginger was to blame for all of the Hawkwind line-up changes. I mean, how could that even be? And of course it's Dave Brock who has the main say, the reason for that is obvious. No, I was just stating that it's well known Ginger had a bad attitude over various things while he was on board the mothership. It's a shame really, cause he sounded great while he was there...

It was Nik Turner's idea to fire Lemmy and they voted on it, 6 - 2. Alan Davey wasn't fired.

Not sure if it’s Tim Blake in the videos. He was on the album but left shortly before the tour I believe.

Yeah I did the same thing to the 'Levitation' promo too, when I get the chance I'll put it up. Didn't know that about the stereo thing, but when I tried it I'm not getting the stereo playback. What am I doing wrong?

@mrmott44 Heh! Pity He had a bad attitude while he was them though. His demands and requests were enough for him to be sacked within the year. Martin Griffin was the best drummer Hawkwind ever had, followed by Simon King.

Repeated LSD use WILL make you paradoid. Ant the fact that the band never had any hit records will cause a heavy toll.
