*In 1995, my daughter was considering going to the Airforce Academy in Colorado. She had already had a Congressman nominate her and she was set to go visit the campus for two weeks. Thankfully for us, the word got out there had been a Rape Fest going on in the Ranks and had been for a long time. Many people were accused but I'm not for sure how the military handled them. All I know, is many young women had been raped or assaulted in the past and my daughter was not going to be one of them. I'm a strong opponent about men and women serving side by side in the military because of this.*

I had thoughts of being a Coast Guard Rescue swimmer. Ended up a Chinook crewman in Nam. Probably wouldn't have made the grade as I'm a pretty small guy. Sad to see this stain on the Coast Guard, its a fine and valuable service with a tough job. Hopefully they can restore confidence after some discipline with teeth, not a slap on the wrist. I know you'll support the victims with your usual fervor for truth and justice. Tally Ho Our best to the victims, your country loves you, heal well and recover with strength in time.

Then one day I was set out in front of Cherry Point gate with 90 dollars and a ticket to Philadelphia. I tried to get benefits and my discharge was changed from medical discharge to un-honourable discharge. Eventually is was changed to an honorable discharge. I believe the common view is RHIP (Rank Has Its Privileges - as well as protections). You look at the structure of the military and it's based on 'follow orders or suffer the penalties'. Well, if those of rank take 'liberties', it's usually handled at the lowest level. That means it rarely goes beyond the supervisors. If that offender is 'well connected', having sufficient 'status', it's brushed over and never sees the light of day again. The higher the rank, the more they are likely to 'take liberties' without reprisals. This is even more so within the Officer ranks, as they are usually 'taken under a superior's wing' to follow their 'sponsor' up the ranks. They make their political connections and are more likely shielded from any derogatory effects such as 'mistreatment' of other, lower ranking members.

Why is it so surprising that a cover up took place, and a lynx they went to keep it that way until recently? Although in the end it's not going to matter because nothing is going to happen to these individuals that committed the crime or the cover up regardless

It’s worse to take human trafficking away from traffickers than it is to try and take someone’s profession that keeps them alive away from them. Because each trafficker stopped is not the target, the whole industry is the target, and that means they are fighting to save their world not just a way of life. If the oppression is revealed unto the public then there might be a revival amongst parents and the traffickers source will be cut off. So, each has an instinct to silence the victims effectiveness to end their world of games. 7:31
