if that was a John Deere 1020 w/ a #47 loader and a M-H #3 baler, that would have been me in 1985. lol

On your 1010, where is the loader pressure line tapped into, and also where is the return lines going too. I have a 1010 and want to put a loader on it. Could you send me pics of the lines as they are? Thanks Larry

We have since had to sell this tractor, and I can not get any new photos of it. I remember well enough though where the loader lines went I should be able to describe it pretty well. I can also look through old photos and see if I have some photos showing the loader lines. The hydraulic system on ours had been modified a bit by the previous owner. The tractor had no power steering (simpler pump) and no rear remotes / selective control valves(SCVS). The loader is a model #37 loader and there are adapter plates where the loader brackets bolt on to the frame. It had three hydraulic cylinders, two for the lift I think around 2" X 28" or so. I do not remember the length of them. They were single acting cylinders with with 1" pin holes in the base and 3/4" pin holes in the rod end. There is one double acting cylinder on the bucket tilt around 2 1/2" bore and 16" or 18" stroke. The hydraulic lines went like this. The suction line from the resevior under the seat to the pump is original metal pipe with compression nuts on each end. We never had to take it off or mess around with it. Out the top of the pump came the pressure line. It went to a 2 spool valve block that was mounted to the right side loader bracket. There were four lines out the top of the valve block from the spools. The left spool was for the loader up and down with one line going to a Tee and then one line to each lift cylinder. The other port from that spool was a return when lowering the loader and that had a line going down to next to the resiviour fill port for oil return when lowering the loader. The right hand spool controlled the bucket rollback and dump. Out of its two ports the lines went down to the cylinder on the bucket. It was double acting with no need for a separate return line. The return line out of the right side of the valve block went down back to a port on the side of the left side of the resiveior that I think was what powered the 3 point hitch. A couple more notes on this setup, there were hydrualic lines all over right side of the tractor and they were in the way now and then. When raising the loader the 3 point hitch would not go up. This was not a problem, but when the loader was raising all of the pump oil flow was going into the lift cylinders. If you have any further questions I am happy to answer what ever else I can. Comment or PM me.
